The courtesy call also served as an opportunity to formally welcome FO3 Zamora to the Boalan Fire Sub-Station and strengthen camaraderie among personnel, fostering teamwork and cooperation in fulfilling the Bureau’s mission of serving and protecting the community.

11 August 2026 | Fire Call Response

At around 1404H, Boalan Fire Sub-Station Shift A duty personnel led by SFO1 Elvin B Ramirez, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, and FO3 Joanna C Zamora, Shift A Commander, together with Culianan FSS, Mercedes FSS, and Cabaluay FSS, responded to a fire call involving a structural fire (residential) at Don Froilano, Zone 2, Barangay Culianan, Zamboanga City, Region IX.

Upon arrival at the scene, responding personnel immediately conducted a rapid size-up and situational assessment to determine fire conditions, risks, and priorities. After confirming the extent of the incident, units proceeded with firefighting operations focused on fire suppression and containment to prevent further spread, while ensuring coordination with other responding fire units for effective incident management. No rescue operations were undertaken as no trapped or endangered occupants were reported at the time of arrival. The prompt and coordinated response of the firefighting teams helped address the emergency and ensure the safety of the affected area.

Ang leptospirosis ay isang nakamamatay na sakit na nakukuha mula sa ihi ng daga, tumataas ang insidente nito lalo na tuwing may baha.

Mga Tips para sa Kaligtasan:
Huwag maligo o magbabad sa tubig-baha. Huwag hayaang mabasa ang sugat sa paa ng tubig-baha.
Takpan ng maigi ang mga tirang pagkain.

Prophylaxis Treatment: Uminom ng Doxycycline bilang post-exposure prophylaxis kung nakababad sa baha o nakaranas ng mataas na panganib ng pagkakalantad, ngunit kailangan munang kumonsulta sa doktor para sa tamang reseta.

Kapag nakaranas ng mataas na lagnat, magpacheckup agad sa doktor.

Tumawag sa 911 para sa sunog, rescue, at medical emergency.
