CHEDRO IX Commends Ateneo de Zamboanga University for Strengthening International Academic Partnerships

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IX (CHEDRO IX) commends Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) for advancing its internationalization efforts through meaningful academic and institutional engagements with Norton University in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The visit featured collaborative discussions on academic and administrative initiatives, including the sharing of best practices in Library and Student Services and exchanges on institutional management and finance. These engagements foster mutual learning, strengthen institutional capacities, and open new opportunities for future collaboration.

Beyond academic exchanges, the delegation also explored Cambodia's rich historical and cultural heritage, underscoring the value of intercultural understanding in building strong and sustainable international partnerships.

CHEDRO IX recognizes initiatives such as these as vital in promoting globally connected higher education institutions, enhancing academic excellence, and preparing learners and educators to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

We congratulate Ateneo de Zamboanga University and Norton University on this meaningful collaboration and look forward to the continued success of their partnership in advancing quality higher education through international cooperation.

CHEDRO IX Congratulates Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. on Its International Research Achievement

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IX (CHEDRO IX) proudly congratulates Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. for its outstanding achievement during the IMPACHS – International Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical, and Health Science Symposium Research Presentation, held in Malaysia on July 15, 2026.

Special recognition is extended to Mr. Aldon Tangkian and Ms. Sitti Jenson for being honored as Best Oral Presenters, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their dedication to research, academic excellence, and innovation.

CHEDRO IX also commends all Pilar College student presenters for confidently representing the institution and the Philippines on the international stage. Their participation demonstrates the caliber of Filipino higher education and the growing global engagement of higher education institutions in Region IX.
