The men and women of 905th Community Defense Center headed by Lieut. Col. Husain A Esmael (INF) PA, Director greatly appreciated the generosity and kind support during the conduct of 10th RESCOM,PA-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity to the following Partners and Stakeholders:

This collaboration between these partners and stakeholders marks a milestone in the stakeholder engagement program of the unit wherein goodhearted individuals and service-oriented agencies and organizations are being tapped to share their support in making this event a resounding success and demonstrate our unwavering commitment to serving the community.

In a meaningful celebration of compassion, generosity, and community service, the 905th Community Defense Center facilitated the 10th RESCOM, PA-Wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity in line with the celebration of the 43rd Founding Anniversary of Reserve Command, Philippine Army at Zamboanga Central School, Varela St., Zone I, Zamboanga City.

This event, with the theme: "Ang Inyong Matatag na Tagapagbuo ng Laang Kawal" was a collaboration with the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) Blood Bank.

The activity saw the involvement of the Reservist from 9051st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion; ROTC Cadets from Ferndale Colleges Zamboanga Peninsula Incorporated; and Metro Zampen College Incorporated; and civilians from several key organizations.

This blood donation drive was a resounding success. Out of 50 volunteers, 30 were able to donate blood, contributing approximately 13,500cc. These individuals became a silent heroes who make a powerful difference in the lives of others.

As the activity continues in the years ahead, may it inspire even more people to participate and become regular blood donors. Through continued cooperation, compassion, and commitment, the spirit of giving blood—and giving hope—can reach more people and help save more lives.

The 905th CDC under the leadership of Lieut. Col. Husain A Esmael (INF) PA led the distribution of AFP Reservist Identification Card to Hon. Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Vice Mayor of Zamboanga City. Vice Mayor Beng is a bonafide member of the 9051st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion reinforcing her continuing commitment to military readiness and public service at Headquarters, 905th CDC, Camp Arturo T Enrile, Malagutay, Zamboanga City on August 11, 2026.

Vice Mayor Beng, who holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Philippine Army Reserve Force, has long maintained close coordination with the 905th CDC. Her dual role as a local government official and military reservist underscores a shared principle that public service does not end with the boundaries of an elected position, but extends to every opportunity to serve and protect the Filipino people.

The issuance of the AFP Reservist Identification Card is intended to formally identify and document the holder as a member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Reserve Force. The ID serves as official proof of the reservist’s status and facilitates the proper administration and updating of AFP records. The AFP specifically recognizes reservists as eligible holders of AFP identification cards.

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙒𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩

In a notable effort in promoting environmental protection, the 905th Community Defense Center participated the Coastal Clean-Up Drive conducted by the City Government of Zamboanga through the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCNR) at Ecozone Coastal Area, Talisayan, Zamboanga City in support to the Task Force Zamboanga's civil military efforts utilizing the Reservists from 9051st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion on August 08, 2026.

The activity brought together volunteers and concerned individuals who shared a common goal, to help protect the coastal environment and preserve its natural beauty. It also strengthened the spirit of volunteerism and teamwork among the participants. By working together, they demonstrated that small individual efforts can create a significant positive impact when combined with collective action.

Beyond the physical act of collecting garbage, the Coastal Clean-Up Drive served as a reminder of the importance of responsible waste management. Coastal areas are valuable ecosystems that provide shelter for marine organisms and contribute to the well-being of nearby communities.

Protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Every piece of waste properly disposed of and every effort to keep our shores clean contributes to a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable community.

In a remarkable display of compassion, community service, and unity, the 905th Community Defense Center provided crucial manpower during the 1st Order of the Amaranth Golf for a Cause, "Swing Strong for Diabetic Awareness" conducted by the Zamboanga City Court Order No. 30, Order of the Amaranth at Zamboanga Golf Course, Calarian, Zamboanga City on August 02, 2026.

The activity brought together golf enthusiasts, civic organizations, and community stakeholders in a meaningful initiative dedicated to raising awareness about diabetes and promoting healthier lifestyles.

It is also a combination of the spirit of sportsmanship with a noble cause. The tournament served as more than just a sporting event. It became a platform for participants to unite in support of individuals living with diabetes. Through friendly competition on the golf course, players demonstrated that sports can be an effective avenue for promoting wellness and social responsibility.

Through initiatives like "Swing Strong for Diabetic Awareness," the Order of the Amaranth and its partners continue to inspire communities to champion health, compassion, and service—one swing at a time.

As a result of its outstanding contribution, the 905th Community Defense Center was honored with the Plaque of Distinction, Guardian of Life Award during the Annual Recognition Ceremony for Blood Donor's Month spearheaded by the Zamboanga City Medical Center through the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Blood Bank Section on July 23, 2026 at Convention Hall, KCC Mall De Zamboanga.

Receiving this award is a proud milestone for the unit and serves as an inspiration for its personnel, reservists, civilian volunteers, partners and stakeholders to continue supporting life-saving initiatives that benefit the community. It also underscores the Center's commitment to fostering a culture of service beyond its defense mission.

The 905th CDC also proudly recognized PFC Jumar Daul PA (Reserve) for achieving the remarkable milestone of becoming a Blood Galloner Awardee, an honor bestowed upon individuals who have consistently and selflessly donated blood to help save countless lives.

This achievement reflects the generosity, compassion, and spirit ofvolunteerism demonstrated by every participating donors.

On July 23, 2026, Col. Ian Noel P Ignes MNSA (INF) PA, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (ADCRRA) of the 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army conducted an official visit to the 905th Community Defense Center and warmly welcomed by Lt. Col. Husain A Esmael, Director together with the Officers and Enlisted Personnel of the 2303rd Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade and 9051st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion at Camp Arturo T Enrile, Malagutay, Zamboanga City.

During the said visit, Lt. Col. Esmael presented a briefing on Reserve Components programs, initiatives, and accomplishments. It also showcased the initiatives of the 905 CDC in enhancing the operational readiness and capability of reservists through sustained training, community engagement, and collaborative activities.

The visit served as an opportunity to assess the current programs and initiatives of the 905th CDC, discuss concerns affecting reservists and retirees, and reinforce the unit's commitment to enhancing their welfare, readiness, and continued participation in national defense.

The visit concluded with a message of appreciation from the leadership of the 905 CDC, expressing gratitude for the guidance and support extended by the ADCRRA. The engagement further reinforced the shared commitment of the command and the 905 CDC to building a capable, responsive, and resilient reserve force in support of the Philippine Army's mission of safeguarding the nation's peace, security, and development.
