The Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth IX warmly welcomed the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) of Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay, headed by Hon. Arthur P. Ruste Sr., Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Arnel Joy Ruste, Municipal Vice Mayor, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Heads of Offices, and School Principals.

This activity was part of their two-day Capacity Development Training for LCPC and LCAT-VAWC Members where the RRCY Center Head was also invited in Day-1 to discuss the Salient Features of RA 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006.

During their visit, the delegates had the opportunity to tour the facility, learn more about the programs and services provided to our residents, and interact with the youth. More importantly, they shared words of encouragement, hope, and inspiration, reminding our residents that their past does not define their future and that there are people who believe in their capacity to change and grow.

RRCY sincerely appreciates LGU Olutanga for taking the time to visit our center and extend their support to our youth. Your presence and encouraging words serve as a meaningful reminder that words of encouragement inspire our residents to continue striving for positive change and look forward to a brighter future.

🚨 RRCY Joins the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill! 🚨

The Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth IX successfully conducted its 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, strengthening the preparedness and awareness of our residents and staff in responding to possible emergencies and calamities.

The activity was assessed by personnel from the Municipal Fire Station of Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte, whose presence and observations helped ensure that the drill was properly carried out.

As part of our emergency preparedness, our residents were also equipped with their go bags containing essential items and personal needs to help them respond appropriately during emergency situations.
Preparedness saves lives. Through regular drills, awareness, and teamwork, we continue to build a safer and more resilient RRCY community. 🤝🛡️
