Haze or smog can affect your health, especially when air pollution levels are high. Stay safe and protect yourself and your family by following these simple tips:

Wear a properly fitted face mask, preferably an N95 or equivalent respirator. If an N95 is not available, use a well-fitting face mask to help reduce exposure to haze.

Boalan Fire Sub-Station, headed by 𝗦𝗙𝗢𝟭 𝗘𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗕 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘇, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, together with 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗮𝗽 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼, Barangay Chairman, discussed various 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 within the barangay. These included clearing operations to ensure the 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀 along access routes, particularly in areas with low-hanging wires, ensuring the accessibility of fire hydrants, conducting clean-up activities, and implementing other fire prevention measures.

The 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 aimed to 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 between the Barangay Government of Zambowood and Boalan Fire Sub-Station in promoting fire safety, enhancing community preparedness, and ensuring a more coordinated and effective response to fire incidents and other emergencies.

The 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 also highlighted the planned conduct of a 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 for the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 (𝗖𝗙𝗔𝗚) to further enhance their knowledge, preparedness, and capability in responding to fire emergencies.

The awarding ceremony was conducted by the 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝟵, headed by 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗞𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗟 𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗟, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗕𝗙𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟵, during the 35th BFP Anniversary Culminating Ceremony, held at the Provincial Capitol Atrium, Ipil Heights, Zamboanga Sibugay, on 28 August 2026.

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗚. 𝗜𝗻𝗼𝘁, together with the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗚𝗨 (𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹), has played a significant role in supporting the improvement of the 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗯-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 through her continuous support, assistance, and cooperation with the station and its personnel. Her contributions include the construction of the concrete apron of the fire station and the development of its side yard for gardening, as well as the donation of essential equipment for the benefit of the station and its personnel. Through the continued support and cooperation of the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗚𝗨, these initiatives have greatly contributed to making the 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗯-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 a more functional, orderly, and conducive workplace for firefighters, while enhancing our capability to better serve the community.

The inventory also included the verification and accounting of BFP retirees, ensuring that personnel records were properly reviewed and documented as part of the annual inventory process.
