ZAMBOANGA CITY โ The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 9 conducted the High-Impact, High Visibility Inspection (HIHVI) Planning and Coordination Meeting for the Construction Sector on May 26, 2026, at LM Metro Hotel, Tetuan, Zamboanga City, with 18 participants attending onsite and 16 joining virtually via ZOOM Teleconference. Representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional- and District Engineering- Offices, Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board (RCMB), Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), Employees Compensation Commission (ECC), ZamPen OSHNet and DOLE Field Offices participated in the activity.
The activity aimed to strengthen compliance with General Labor Standards (GLS), Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), and other applicable regulations in the construction sector through intensified, coordinated, and visible inspection activities. The initiative forms part of DOLEโs nationwide High-Impact, High-Visibility Inspection campaign focusing on priority sectors.
