Health Services, Mas Ilalapit sa Mamamayan; Initial Planning para sa “Purok Pangkalusugan” Program Isinagawa

July 17, 2026 | Barangay Zambowood — Patuloy na pinalalakas ng Barangay Zambowood ang mga programa sa kalusugan sa pamamagitan ng isang initial planning meeting para sa nalalapit na paglulunsad ng “Purok Pangkalusugan” Program.

Pinangunahan ito ng Vice-Chairperson on Health, Kagawad Jann Jann Calma, kasama ang ating masipag na Barangay Midwife Ma’am Jennifer Malicay Diaz at District Nurse Miss Ann, upang pagplanuhan ang mas epektibong paghahatid ng mga serbisyong pangkalusugan sa bawat purok ng barangay.

Ang Purok Pangkalusugan ay isang community-based health initiative na naglalayong ilapit ang basic health services, health education, at preventive healthcare programs sa bawat purok ng Barangay Zambowood. Layunin nitong matiyak na mas maraming residente ang mabibigyan ng agarang access sa mga serbisyong pangkalusugan at impormasyon na makatutulong sa pagpapanatili ng isang malusog na komunidad.

Ayon kay Kagawad Jann Jann Calma, mahalagang mailapit ang mga programa ng barangay sa bawat mamamayan upang mas maging mabilis, episyente, at inclusive ang pagbibigay ng serbisyong pangkalusugan.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng Barangay Health Workers, Health Center personnel, at ng buong Barangay Council, inaasahang magiging matagumpay ang implementasyon ng Purok Pangkalusugan, bilang isa pang hakbang tungo sa isang mas malusog, mas ligtas, at mas matatag na Barangay Zambowood.

The Barangay Council of Barangay Zambowood successfully conducted its 2nd Regular Session for the Month of July, reaffirming its commitment to transparent, responsive, and people-centered governance.

During the session, the Sangguniang Barangay deliberated on important matters concerning the welfare of the community, including programs, policies, and initiatives aimed at strengthening public service and addressing the current needs of our constituents.

Through productive discussions and collaborative decision-making, the Barangay Council remains dedicated to delivering effective leadership and ensuring that every action taken contributes to the continued progress and development of Barangay Zambowood.

Together, we continue to build a stronger, safer, and more progressive Barangay Zambowood.

July 24, 2026| BARANGAY ZAMBOWOOD STRENGTHENS DENGUE PREVENTION EFFORTS AS 4 POSITIVE CASES ARE RECORDED

Barangay Zambowood has recorded four (4) confirmed dengue cases, prompting the Barangay Council to immediately intensify its dengue prevention and response efforts to protect the health and safety of the community.

In response to this public health concern, Barangay Vice-Chairperson on Health, Kagawad Jann Jann Calma, immediately coordinated with the City Health Office through Sir Carl, the assigned Sanitary Inspector for Barangay Zambowood, to seek immediate intervention and technical assistance.

Acting swiftly on the request, the City Health Office, through Sir Carl, promptly provided a mosquito-control solution that helps eliminate mosquitoes responsible for spreading dengue. This immediate response is part of the City’s continuing commitment to assist barangays in preventing the further spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

To strengthen these efforts, the Barangay is currently finalizing the schedule for a community outreach initiative that will personally visit every zone in Barangay Zambowood. The activity will be conducted in close coordination with the Barangay Health Center, headed by Ma’am Jennifer Malicay Diaz, to educate residents on dengue prevention, identify possible mosquito breeding sites, and encourage every household to maintain a clean and safe environment.

The Barangay Council calls on all residents to do their part by practicing the 4S Kontra Dengue:

* Search and destroy mosquito breeding places.
* Self-protection through appropriate clothing and mosquito repellents.
* Seek early consultation if dengue symptoms appear.
* Support community clean-up drives and fogging or other vector-control activities when necessary.

Dengue prevention is a shared responsibility. Through unity, vigilance, and cooperation, Barangay Zambowood can help protect every family and build a healthier, dengue-free community.

July 23, 2026| Vice Chairperson on Health Kagawad Jann Jann Calma, Together with the Barangay Nutrition Council, Strengthens Commitment to Public Health Through the Finalization of the Barangay Nutrition Plan.

As the Vice Chairperson on Health of the Barangay Nutrition Council, Kagawad Jann Jann Calma, together with Punong Barangay Hon. Richard Pajarito, City Health Office Nutrition Department Representative Sir Eric Bangkal, Barangay Midwife Ma’am Jennifer Malicay Diaz, Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Mrs. Martel, and the dedicated members of the Barangay Nutrition Council, remain committed to strengthening nutrition programs in our community.

Guided by the pillars Lead, Grow, and Excel, the Council continues to work collaboratively in developing and implementing effective nutrition plans and initiatives that promote better health, proper nutrition, and improved quality of life for every resident. 🚨 DENGUE ADVISORY | BARANGAY ZAMBOWOOD

📢 May naitalang apat (4) na kaso ng Dengue sa ating Barangay.

Ang Barangay Council of Zambowood ay nananawagan sa lahat ng ating mga residente na maging mapagmatyag at makiisa sa pagpapanatiling malinis ng ating komunidad upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng kaso ng dengue.

✅ Sama-sama nating gawin ang mga sumusunod:
🦟 Alisin ang mga naipong tubig sa paligid ng bahay.
🦟 Takpan ang lahat ng imbakan ng tubig.
🦟 Panatilihing malinis ang kapaligiran.
🦟 Gumamit ng mosquito repellent at magsuot ng damit na may mahabang manggas kung kinakailangan.
🦟 Agad magpakonsulta sa pinakamalapit na health center kung makararanas ng mataas na lagnat, pananakit ng katawan, o iba pang sintomas ng dengue.

💚 Prevention is better than cure. Ang simpleng paglilinis ng ating paligid ay makatutulong upang maprotektahan ang ating sarili, pamilya, at buong komunidad.
