Building Future Leaders: RNHS Leadership Camp 2025

Recodo National High School successfully conducted the Leadership Camp 2025 with the theme “Guardians of Leadership: Harnessing the Elements of Change,” bringing together student leaders for two meaningful days of learning, fellowship, and fun.

The camp officially began on October 24 with an inspiring session titled “When Disaster Strikes: Leading with Courage and Skill,” delivered by May E. Vardeleon, a dedicated educator and active advocate for values formation and humanitarian service. Her talk encouraged participants to develop courage, responsibility, and preparedness in times of crisis.

The evening continued with a magical Fellowship Night inspired by the enchanting world of Encantadia. Student leaders showcased their creativity and confidence through exciting activities such as the Scepter Making Contest, Enchanted Runway Competition, and a lively Rave Party, making the night truly memorable.

The excitement carried on the following day, October 25, with an energetic Zumba session and engaging team-building activities that strengthened camaraderie, cooperation, and leadership skills among the participants.

Recodo National High School extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers, facilitators, and student participants who contributed to the success of this event, as well as to our security personnel for ensuring the safety and smooth flow of activities throughout the camp. Indeed, the weekend was a celebration where the true elements of leadership—courage, wisdom, teamwork, and unity—came alive.

Empowering the Youth for a Drug-Free Future

Recodo National High School, through the initiative of the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) headed by Mrs. Lorena Nuddin, in coordination with the School NDEP and BKD, conducted an Illegal Drug Awareness Symposium with the theme “Laban Kabataan: Empowering a Drug-Free Future.”

The activity aimed to educate and empower students about the dangers of illegal drugs and the importance of making responsible life choices. The symposium featured valuable insights from our distinguished resource speakers:

• Hon. Benyasir H. Asdali, Chairperson, BADAC

Their discussions raised awareness among learners and encouraged them to actively contribute to a safe, healthy, and drug-free community.

RNHS Celebrates National Women's Month 2026

Recodo National High School proudly joins the nation in celebrating National Women’s Month 2026 with the theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!” This year’s celebration honors the strength, wisdom, and leadership of Filipino women, inspired by the babaylans of pre-colonial Philippines who served as community leaders, healers, and guides.

In line with this celebration, the RNHS community recognizes and appreciates the remarkable contributions of women in shaping families, communities, and the nation. We honor the dedication, resilience, and leadership of women who continue to inspire change, empower others, and serve as role models for our learners.

As we observe this meaningful occasion, RNHS encourages everyone to support and promote gender equality while celebrating the achievements and leadership of women in all fields. May this celebration remind us to value the voices, talents, and strength of every Filipina who leads with courage, compassion, and purpose.

In a meaningful and celebratory Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, the school community gathered to recognize outstanding achievements and exemplary service. Students who competed in the Athletics Meet Under 18 Secondary Girls category during the Dia de Zamboanga, held on February 22, 23, 28, and March 1 at Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, were honored for bringing pride and distinction to the school.

Institutional Assessment for TVL

Recodo National High School successfully conducted its Institutional Assessment for the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track on February 11, showcasing the skills and competencies of learners in the following specializations:

* Electrical Installation and Maintenance
* ICT – Computer Systems Servicing (CSS)
*Agricultural and Fishery Arts (AFA)
*Cookery

This activity aims to evaluate students’ competencies, strengthen their practical skills, and prepare them for the National Certification (NC II) assessment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated assessors — Alejandro Baes, Andreus Hansen, Kenneth Lloyd Calixton, and Esther Aboloc — for guiding and evaluating our learners with professionalism and expertise.
