TESDA ZCICDO Conducts Orientation for 400 TUPAD Beneficiaries in Zamboanga City
Zamboanga City โ The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Zamboanga City Isabela City District Office (ZCICDO) in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region IX, conducted an orientation for 400 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program on January 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at the Pasonanca Covered Court, fronting the Motorpool, Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.
The activity focused on the TUPAD and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Orientation, aimed at equipping beneficiaries with essential knowledge on workplace safety, workersโ rights and responsibilities, and the proper implementation of the TUPAD program. This initiative reinforces the governmentโs commitment to safeguarding the welfare of workers while ensuring effective program implementation.
During the orientation, TESDA Representative Engr. Madison Hajan emphasized the importance of skills development, safety awareness, and work discipline, highlighting how TESDA programs can further support beneficiaries in improving their employability and livelihood opportunities. Meanwhile, DOLE discussed the objectives of the TUPAD program as a vital government intervention that provides temporary employment and livelihood assistance to disadvantaged and displaced workers.
TESDA remains steadfast in its support of government programs that advance skills development, employment generation, and safe working environments for Filipino workers.
