By virtue of R.A. 6727 or the "Wage Rationalization Act," a Regional Minimum Wage System was established through the creation of National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) and Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) in all regions of the Philippines. While NPWC is the key policy-making body on wages, incomes and productivity, RTWPBs are tasked to implement the same. NWPC

and RTWPBs are commited to achieve the following:

1) Ensure a decent standard of living for the minimum wage earners and their families; and

2)Contribute to the competitiveness of enterprises through improved productivity workforce. To achieve this, NWPC and RTWPBs provide Research, Training and Consultancy, and disseminate Information through Awareness Campaigns and Publication.
