FAAP Grants Institutional Accreditation Status to AdZU

Strengthening its position as a trusted institution of higher learning, Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) has achieved Institutional Accreditation Status from the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).

The accreditation status affirms that the University has met FAAP's rigorous institutional requirements, including maintaining a substantial number of highly accredited academic programs and successfully satisfying Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities’ (PAASCU) comprehensive standards for governance, academic leadership, faculty and staff development, student services, learning resources, research, community engagement, financial management, and strategic planning.

Embodying the institutional theme, Servicio con Amor y Alegria, this milestone reflects years of purposeful institutional development and the collective efforts of the University administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners, whose shared commitment to quality has enabled AdZU to attain one of Philippine Higher Education's institutional recognitions.

AdZU Earns Five-Year PCNC Accreditation

Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) has earned a five-year Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) Accreditation, recognizing the University as a non-stock, non-profit institution that successfully met the rigorous criteria established under the Securities and Exchange Commission's regulations for accredited non-government organizations.

Valid from June 24, 2026, to June 23, 2031, the accreditation gives stakeholders greater confidence in AdZU as a trusted institution where resources are managed responsibly, partnerships are guided by accountability, and programs are implemented with integrity. This strengthens the University's capacity to sustain meaningful initiatives, attract mission-aligned partnerships, and deliver lasting impact in education, social transformation, and nation-building.
