The National Authority for Child Care (NACC) Central Office officially commenced its Day 1 Monitoring Visit and Technical Assistance (MVTA) to the Regional Alternative Child Care Office IX (RACCO IX), reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the implementation of alternative child care programs and ensuring the continuous delivery of quality, child-centered services.
The Monitoring Team was composed of representatives from the Alternative Child Care Division (ACCD), Standards Accreditation and Monitoring Division (SAMD), and the Inter-Country Adoption Division (ICAD), who provided technical guidance and support throughout the activity.
During the visit, the Alternative Child Care Division (ACCD) conducted a comprehensive monitoring and review of the cases managed by the Alternative Child Care Unit (ACCU) of RACCO IX to ensure compliance with existing laws, policies, and standards while identifying opportunities to further strengthen case management and service delivery. Meanwhile, the Standards Accreditation and Monitoring Division (SAMD) assessed the office's compliance with operational standards and accreditation requirements, providing valuable recommendations for continuous organizational improvement.
As part of the day's engagement, the NACC Central Office Team and the RACCO IX Team paid courtesy visits to the officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IX (DSWD FO IX), beginning with Regional Director Riduan P. Hadjimuddin, followed by Assistant Regional Director for Operations Ma. Soccoro S. Macaso. These visits underscored the strong partnership and shared commitment of both agencies to advancing the welfare and protection of children.
The first day concluded with a plenary session at the office of RACCO IX Regional Head Dr. Jaylin Dela Cruz Sahipa, where both teams discussed key observations, shared best practices, and aligned strategies to further enhance the implementation of alternative child care programs and services across the region.
The Monitoring Visit and Technical Assistance will continue in the succeeding days, reflecting NACC's unwavering commitment to promoting excellence in public service and ensuring that every child is afforded the opportunity to grow in a safe, nurturing, and loving family environment. ๐๐โค
