📝Learning Systems Reform Policies Orientation

SHS teachers actively participated in the Virtual Orientation on Learning Systems Reform Policies, while SHS Master Teachers attended the face-to-face orientation today at the City of Passi Arena.

The orientation highlighted seven major education reform policies for School Year 2026–2027, including the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar, strengthened lesson planning and assessment systems, flexible learning programs, Education in Emergencies, and enhancements in the Senior High School curriculum and work immersion.

The activity aimed to equip educators with a clearer understanding of the new reforms to ensure more organized, learner-centered, inclusive, and responsive delivery of education across all learning environments.

As we commemorate the Liberation of Panay, Romblon, and Guimaras, we observe March 18 as a special non-working holiday—a day dedicated to honoring the bravery, sacrifices, and patriotism of our heroes who fought for our freedom.

This historic event, also known as Victory Day, was officially recognized through Proclamation No. 430, s. 1989, signed by President Corazon C. Aquino on July 21, 1989.

READ: The Office of the President issues Memorandum Circular 114 which formalizes President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s order to government agencies to “strictly adopt” energy conservation protocols and a four-day work week scheme.

Under the directive, all agencies should adopt a four-day onsite work arrangement, through a compressed workweek or a designated common day for work-from-home arrangements, in accordance with CSC rules and other guidelines in adopting flexible work arrangements.

“The adoption of a four (4)-day onsite work arrangement shall be implemented starting 09 March 2026 and shall remain in effect until lifted or sooner revoked by the President,” it said.

In view of this, all government agencies are directed to “formulate their respective internal guidelines to ensure proper monitoring and documentation, including verification of attendance, and performance standards and monitoring mechanisms.” | via Harlene Delgado, ABS-CBN News
