Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Women Medical College organised a Moonsoon Plantation Drive to promote environmental sustainability and a greener Pakistan. 🌳

The event was graced by the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan, dignitaries from WMC and AUST who joined hands with students and participants in planting trees and spreading the message of environmental responsibility.

“YDC–AUST Summer Internship Program 2026”.

As part of the Youth Development Center's (YDC) flagship initiative to empower students through experiential learning, we are proud to announce the 3rd Batch of the YDC–AUST Summer Internship Program 2026, offering 100 internship opportunities exclusively for AUST students this summer.
This 6–8 week internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, enhance your professional and interpersonal skills, and work with dedicated teams—all within the AUST campus. Selected interns will be placed in various academic departments, administrative sections and directorates of AUST, where they will gain hands-on experience in a professional working environment. Upon successful completion, interns will also receive a Certificate of Internship.
Students from the 4th to 6th semesters are especially encouraged to apply, considering the internship requirements outlined in the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Undergraduate Education Policy 2023. However, applications are open to students of all semesters.
This is your opportunity to learn, grow, contribute and prepare yourself for future professional success.

YDC Proudly Announces Student Representation on the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC)
The Youth DevelopmentCenter (YDC) proudly announces that student representation has been formally included in the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) of Abbottabad University of Science & Technology (AUST) for the first time, following the latest corrigendum issued by the Establishment Section.

Under the revised notification, the Student Council Representative (YDC) has been designated as a member of the IQC, ensuring that students have a direct voice in the University's quality assurance and institutional development processes. This milestone reflects the University's commitment to participatory governance and aligns with the Higher Education Commission's Quality Assurance Framework.

The inclusion of YDC in the IQC will enable students to contribute to discussions on academic quality, institutional policies, student welfare and continuous improvement initiatives. It also strengthens collaboration between students and the University administration, promoting transparency, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making.

YDC extends its gratitude to the University administration for recognizing the importance of student participation and remains committed to representing student perspectives responsibly while working towards a more inclusive, quality-driven academic environment.

ایبٹ آباد یونیورسٹی آف سائنس اینڈ ٹکینالوجی اور پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کے درمیان ہائی پرفارمنس سینٹر کے قیام کے لیے مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط

ایبٹ آباد یونیو رسٹی آف سائنس اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی اور پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ (PCB) کے درمیان ایک مفاہمتی یادداشت (MoU) پر دستخط کیے گئے، جس کے ذریعے یونیورسٹی میں جدید ترین ہائی پرفارمنس سپورٹس انفراسٹرکچر کے قیام اور کرکٹ کے فروغ کے لیے ایک اہم شراکت داری کا آغاز ہوا۔

تقریبِ دستخط میں پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کے سینئر جنرل منیجر (ڈومیسٹک کرکٹ آپریشنز) اسامہ شارون نیازی نے بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شرکت کی اس موقع پر عثمان ارشد (چیف کیوریٹر، PCB)، عامر نواب خان (صدر، ریجنل کرکٹ ایسوسی ایشن ایبٹ آباد)، محمد شوکت گل جدون (نائب صدر، آر سی اے ایبٹ آباد)، ثاقب فقیر (ہیڈ کوچ، ایبٹ آباد ریجن)، رمیز احمد (ڈی سی اے کوچ، ایبٹ آباد) سمیت یونیورسٹی کے اعلیٰ حکام، اساتذہ، طلبہ اور دیگر معزز مہمان بھی موجود تھے۔

تقریب کے بعد ایک تعاملی اجلاس منعقد ہوا، جس میں کرکٹ کی ترقی، ٹیلنٹ کی نشاندہی، سپورٹس سائنس، کوچنگ اور کھلاڑیوں کی پیشہ ورانہ تربیت کے شعبوں میں باہمی تعاون پر تفصیلی تبادلۂ خیال کیا گیا۔

بعد ازاں پی سی بی کے وفد نے مجوزہ منصوبے کی جگہ کا دورہ کیا، جہاں انہیں اے یو ایس ٹی میں ہائی پرفارمنس سینٹر کے قیام کے منصوبے سے آگاہ کیا گیا منصوبے کی تکمیل کے بعد یہ پاکستان کا پانچواں پی سی بی ہائی پرفارمنس سینٹر ہوگا، جو کھلاڑیوں کو عالمی معیار کی تربیت اور ترقی کے مواقع فراہم کرے گا۔

اس منصوبے میں پی سی بی کرکٹ گراؤنڈ، کرکٹ اکیڈمی، رہائشی سہولیات، اور بین الاقوامی معیار کی کوچنگ، ٹریننگ، فٹنس اور اسپورٹس سپورٹ انفراسٹرکچر کی تعمیر بھی شامل ہے۔

اے یو ایس ٹی اور پی سی بی کے درمیان یہ شراکت داری جدید سہولیات، پیشہ ورانہ کوچنگ اور اعلیٰ تربیتی ماحول کے ذریعے مستقبل کے کرکٹرز کی صلاحیتوں کو نکھارنے کی جانب ایک اہم سنگِ میل ثابت ہوگی۔ توقع ہے کہ اس منصوبے سے اے یو ایس ٹی خطے میں کرکٹ کے فروغ، کھیلوں میں جدت اور اعلیٰ کارکردگی کے ایک نمایاں مرکز کے طور پر ابھرے گی۔
