1. OVERVIEW
On April 23, 2026, a formal inspection visit was conducted to evaluate the operational efficiency, clinical standards, and administrative compliance of the following veterinary institutions:
Civil Veterinary Dispensary (CVD) Shoghoor
Civil Veterinary Hospital (CVH) Garamchashma
Civil Veterinary Dispensary (CVD) Parabak
2. OBSERVATIONS
Staff Attendance & Conduct: All veterinary and para-veterinary staff were found present at their respective stations. The personnel were actively engaged in their professional duties, demonstrating a commendable level of diligence and commitment to service delivery.
Facility Maintenance: The premises of all three institutions were found to be neat, clean, and well-maintained, reflecting a disciplined working environment.
Record Keeping: Administrative records—including the OPD Register, Stock Book, Attendance Register, Ledger Book, and Vaccination Register—were maintained meticulously. While the overall documentation was of high quality, minor entry errors were identified on-site. Necessary technical guidance was provided to the concerned staff to ensure 100% accuracy in future reporting.
3. DIRECTIVES & INSTRUCTIONS
During the visit, the following strategic directives were issued to the staff to further enhance the department's impact:
SOP Compliance: Staff must strictly adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all clinical and administrative functions.
Community Engagement: Personnel are directed to foster deep, professional relationships with the farming community. Awareness must be raised through regular Field Days and Outreach Programmes to bridge the gap between the department and livestock keepers.
Disease Surveillance: The importance of rapid outbreak reporting was emphasized to ensure timely intervention and containment of any potential contagious diseases.
Pre-Eid Activities: In anticipation of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, staff are instructed to intensify Vaccination Drives and Anti-Tick Spray activities. These measures are critical to controlling the incidence of Congo Virus (CCHF) and ensuring public safety.
4. CONCLUSION
The overall performance of the visited institutions is satisfactory. The staff has been encouraged to maintain this momentum and continue providing dedicated support and facilitation to the farmers of District Chitral Lower.
