Sharda

Sharda is a small town in Neelam District in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is one of the twotehsils of Neelum district, and is reputed to be the most beautiful spot of the Neelum valley. It is located on the banks of theNeelum river at an altitude of 1981m, about 136 kilometers Northeast of Muzaffarabad.
The ruins of the famous temple and Hindu pilgrimage site Sharada Peeth, dedicated to the goddess Sharada who represents learning, is situated in this town. Other historical sites in the town include the Sharda fort, and Kishan Ghaati. Sharda and Nardi are two mountain peaks overlooking Sharda in the valley. It was a Buddhist and Hindu place of learning for centuries. TheSharada script was developed here in the 9th century.[1]
Sharda is accessible by Neelam road from Muzaffarabad. Buses run daily between Muzaffarabad and Sharda in good weather.
The town has a rest house and a youth hostel of AJK Tourism and Archeology Department for tourists stay. Many private hotels are also located here.

The Valley gets it name from the River Siran which flows through it. The Siran river is originates from the Manda Gucha Glacier and merges into the Indus River. Trich Mir – Chitral

Tirich Mir is the highest mountain of the Hindu Kush range, and the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas-Karakoram range, located in Chitral District of Pakistan. The mountain was first climbed on 21 July 1950 by a Norwegian expedition consisting of Arne Næss, P. Kvernberg, H. Berg, and Tony Streather. Tirich Mir overlooks Chitral town, and can be easily seen from the main bazaar.

Mahodand Lake (Pashto: د ماهو ډنډ‎ - "Lake of Fishes") is a lake located in the upper Usho Valley at a distance of about 40 km from Kalam, Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan Administered Kashmir. The lake is accessible by a four-wheel drivevehicle, and is often utilized for fishing and boating. The Mahodand Lake lies at the foothills of Hindu kush mountains at an elevation of (9,603 ft), surrounded by the meadows, mountains and dense forests. Similarly, the banks of Mahodand lake are covered by pines and pastures that serve as a camping site during the summer.
The Mahodand lake is fed by melting glaciers and springs of the Hindu Kush mountain and gives rise to Ushu Khwar, the major left tributary of the Swat River.
During the winter, the Mahodand lake freezes and is covered by heavy snow. In the summers, the basin of the lake is surrounded by a sheet of alpine flowers like geum, blue poppy, potentilla and gentian. Apart from it, the lake is encircled by diverse pinus species which serves as abode for wild birds. Similarly, the lake contains abounding trout fishes, which furnish ideal opportunity for angling, but catching is allowed only to the licensed anglers.

Neelum Valley (also spelled Neelam Valley) (Urdu: وادیِ نیلم ‎) is a 200 km long bow-shaped thick forested region in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The valley is situated in the north-east of Muzaffarabad, running parallel to Kaghan Valley. The two valleys are only separated by snow-covered peaks, some over 4,000 meters (13,000 ft) above sea level.
It is consist of Neelam District has two tehsils Athmuqam and Shardah.

Kalam Valley – Valley located across the Swat River in Swat, in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Kalam Valley is famous for its magnificent waterfalls, lakes and lush green hills. It is 270 km drive from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. It is one of the popular destinations for tourists. At 29 kilometers (18 mi) from Bahrain and about 2,000 meters (6,800 ft) above sea level, the valley opens out, providing rooms for a small but lush plateau above the river. In Kalam, the two rivers (Ushu and Utrot) join to form the Swat River.
