“Promote concepts of civic engagements to bridge the gap between citizens and F-WASA through active participation of community”. FUNCTIONS OF CLC
o Develop a “policy” and “strategy” of F-WASA to extend water and sewerage servi

ces to uncovered population of F-WASA. o Prepare a comprehensive Socio-Economic Profile and GIS mapping of formal & informal settlements in collaboration with partners. o Identify legal/institutional/technical/social barriers to investing in formal & informal settlements and suggest sustainable solutions. o Conduct Community consultations through participatory and gender responsive techniques on “Community Component Sharing Model”. o To enhance the voice of citizens of Faisalabad in planning and implementing processes of F-WASA. o Establish partnerships with CSOs/stakeholders working in Faisalabad (formal & informal settlements) in water and sanitation sector for harmony and targeted intervention
ACHIEVEMENTS (CLC)….. o F-WASA selected two un-served areas as Pilot Areas. o Malik Pur UC-202 (for water supply and sewerage facilities)
o Saif Abad #1 UC-270 (for water supply)
o Technical survey for GIS / parcel mapping & vertical profile survey is under process. o To provide the water supply to Saif Abad #1 proposal for rehabilitation of Water Works Gulifshan Colony has finalized. o Rough cost estimate of water supply to both pilot areas has been prepared. o Different committees have been formulated to prepare the SOPs such as Selection of Area, Area Profile & Technical survey parameters.
