Jhari kas is the place where boundaries of two provinces of Pakistan - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Punjab touch each other. Road) - which is also internationally known as the "Silk Route" - enters from Punjab into the "Hazara Division" of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. That is why this place is known as the "Gateway to Hazara" (Baab-e-Hazara). This monument has been built on the same Road to remind the visitors that they are entering to the beautiful valley of Hazara.
