A 3-day training workshop was successfully organized by Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion and GIZ german corporation in collaboration with Feel & Heal Psychological Centre, Department of Psychology and BIC/ORIC, The University of Haripurr.
25 students from the Department of Psychology, UoH and Postgraduate College for Women, Haripur participated in the workshop. The focal person was Dr. Sajid Mahmood Alvi, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology and CEO, Feel & Heal Psychological Centre.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Abid Farid, Vice Chancellor, The University of Haripur. In the presence of Mr. Rehan, Project Officer at Handicap International, "Mental Health Kits" were distributed to the participants. The kits were formally handed over to the students by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Abid Farid.
Prof. Dr. Abid Farid appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sajid Mahmood Alvi, the organizing team of Handicap International and GIZ.
The students expressed great happiness and stated that the Mental Health Kits would be highly beneficial for them and will prove very helpful during their field work.
Dr. Mazhar, Additional Director ORIC, also attended the ceremony.
The participants expressed their gratitude to Feel & Heal, Handicap International, GIZ and the University administration for organizing such a practical and beneficial training program.
