Crackdown on Expired Biscuits and Food Items in Hyderabad City

Assistant Commissioner Hyderabad City, Syed Noor Hussain, along with teams from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Sindh Food Authority, conducted a comprehensive inspection and raid at two biscuit warehouses located in Tower Market and Liaquat Colony, Hyderabad.

During the operation, dozens of expired biscuit packets, which were being stored for sale to the public, were confiscated. The seized biscuits were subsequently handed over to the Sindh Food Authority for proper disposal in accordance with prescribed food safety procedures.

The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring food safety and taking strict action against the storage and sale of expired food items.

Emergency Response to Partial Collapse of Heritage Building – Ganga Ram Nivas

Following heavy rainfall in Hyderabad, a portion of the historic Ganga Ram Nivas building, located adjacent to Mukhi House, partially collapsed onto the adjoining street, scattering debris across the area. Fortunately, by the grace of Almighty Allah, no injuries or casualties were reported.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Assistant Commissioner Hyderabad City, Syed Noor Hussain, immediately reached the site to oversee the emergency response.

Teams from Rescue 1122, TMC Mian Sarfaraz, Hyderabad Police, Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), and the Sindh Culture Department were also present and coordinated efforts to manage the situation.

To ensure public safety, the affected building was sealed, surrounding streets were cordoned off, and pedestrians were cleared from the area to prevent any untoward incident. As a precautionary measure, all workshops operating within the building were also closed.

Anti-Encroachment Drive Planned for Abdul Sattar Edhi Road, Hyderabad

Visit to Tulsidas Pumping Station, Hyderabad City

Assistant Commissioner City Hyderabad, Mr. Syed Noor Hussain, visited the Tulsidas Pumping Station to inspect its operational status and assess its preparedness for effective drainage during the ongoing monsoon season.

During the inspection, it was observed that all pumping motors were fully operational and functioning efficiently. The backup generator was also found to be available and in working condition, ensuring uninterrupted operations in the event of a power outage.

The Assistant Commissioner directed the concerned staff to continue regular monitoring and preventive maintenance of all equipment, maintain adequate fuel reserves for the generator, and ensure the pumping station remains fully operational to facilitate an effective drainage response throughout the monsoon season.
