Pada 27 Agustus 2026, KBRI Islamabad bekerja sama dengan College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) telah menyelenggarakan jamuan promosi kuliner Padang di Lahore. Kegiatan tersebut dihadiri oleh perwakilan hotel dan restoran terkemuka di Lahore, Chefs Association of Pakistan, CEO Club, serta jajaran manajemen COTHM.
Para tamu menikmati beragam hidangan khas Padang serta pertunjukan budaya yang dibawakan oleh mahasiswa Indonesia dari International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) dan mahasiswa COTHM. Kegiatan ini turut mencerminkan eratnya hubungan budaya dan antarmasyarakat Indonesia dan Pakistan.

On 27 August 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Islamabad, in collaboration with the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), organized a promotional dinner featuring Padang cuisine in Lahore. The event brought together representatives from leading hotels and restaurants in Lahore, the Chefs Association of Pakistan, CEO Club, and COTHM management.
The guests enjoyed a variety of Padang dishes and cultural performances by Indonesian students from the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and COTHM students. The event also reflected the strong cultural and people-to-people ties between Indonesia and Pakistan.

PRAY FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THE FOREST AND LAND FIRES

Our profound solidarity goes to all those affected by the forest and land fires across Indonesia.

We deeply honor the commitment of firefighters, emergency responders, volunteers, local authorities, and communities working under difficult circumstances to contain the fires and safeguard lives, homes, livelihoods, and the environment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved. May they be granted courage, safety, strength, and protection, and may the fires be controlled soon.

May the affected communities recover swiftly, with restoration and renewed resilience to follow.

Pada 18 Agustus 2026, KBRI Islamabad telah menyelenggarakan perayaan bersama Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia dan Pakistan di Indonesian Corner. Kegiatan tersebut mempertemukan para diplomat, akademisi, mahasiswa, perwakilan media, dan anggota masyarakat sipil untuk memperingati hari kemerdekaan kedua negara sekaligus mempererat hubungan bilateral melalui penguatan kontak antarmasyarakat.
Rangkaian acara meliputi sambutan Presiden IIRIS, paparan Koordinator Fungsi Penerangan, Sosial, dan Budaya serta Sekretaris Pertama Fungsi Politik KBRI Islamabad, diikuti penyampaian pandangan dari perwakilan komunitas diplomatik dan Executive Producer Pakistan Television (PTV). Acara ditutup dengan pemotongan tumpeng, sajian nasi kuning berbentuk kerucut khas Indonesia, sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa.

On 18 August 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Islamabad organized a joint celebration of the Independence Days of Indonesia and Pakistan at the Indonesian Corner. The initiative brought together diplomats, academics, students, media representatives, and members of civil society to commemorate the Independence Days of both countries and promote stronger bilateral relations through enhanced people-to-people contacts.
The program featured welcoming remarks by the President of IIRIS, presentations by the Coordinator for Information, Social, and Cultural Affairs and the First Secretary for Political Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy, followed by remarks from representatives of the diplomatic community and the Executive Producer of Pakistan Television (PTV). The event concluded with the ceremonial cutting of tumpeng, a traditional Indonesian cone-shaped yellow rice dish, as an expression of gratitude to Almighty God.

Pada 17 Agustus 2026, KBRI Islamabad telah menyelenggarakan upacara pengibaran bendera untuk memperingati HUT Ke-81 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia. Bertempat di Lapangan Garuda KBRI Islamabad, upacara tersebut diikuti oleh ratusan WNI yang bermukim di Pakistan dengan mengenakan batik dan kain tradisional dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia.
Bendera Merah Putih dikibarkan dengan penuh khidmat oleh Pasukan Pengibar Bendera (PASKIBRA) di bawah supervisi Kantor Atase Pertahanan KBRI Islamabad. Upacara tersebut mencerminkan semangat patriotisme, persatuan, dan kuatnya rasa kebersamaan di antara masyarakat Indonesia di Pakistan.

On 17 August 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Islamabad held a flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence. Held at the Embassy’s Garuda Lawn, the ceremony brought together hundreds of Indonesian nationals residing in Pakistan, many of whom wore batik and traditional handwoven fabrics from across Indonesia.
The Indonesian flag was solemnly raised by the Flag-Hoisting Squad (PASKIBRA) under the supervision of the Indonesian Defence Attaché Office. The ceremony reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity, and strong sense of togetherness among the Indonesian community in Pakistan.
