This is the official page of Lok Virsa (National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage) which administers Heritage Museum (Lok Virsa Museum) and Pakistan Monument Museum. Lok Virsa, in collaboration with UNESCO, organized a faculty session on **“Pedagogical Tools for the Integration of Intangible Cultural Heritage into Higher Education Curricula”** today at Lok Virsa (National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage).

The session brought together educators, academicians, and cultural practitioners to explore innovative approaches for incorporating Pakistan’s rich intangible cultural heritage into higher education. Discussions focused on developing effective teaching methodologies, strengthening cultural knowledge transmission, and promoting the preservation of living heritage among future generations.

Inauguration of Thar and Kalash Living Heritage Exhibition

The Thar and Kalash Living Heritage Exhibition was inaugurated at Lok Virsa by Ms. Samreen Zahra, Joint Secretary, National Heritage & Culture Division, in the presence of Mr. Fuad Peshyev and Dr. Waqas Saleem Executive Director, Lok Virsa.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors until 30 June 2026, daily from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM.

Through such initiatives, Lok Virsa continues its commitment to the promotion, preservation, and documentation of Pakistan’s diverse cultural heritage.
