Junaid Zaidi Library Equipped with most modern ICT technologies like RFID and Integrated Library System (ILS), Junaid Zaidi library is one of the most modern libraries in Pakistan.

Junaid Zaidi Library is vital to the education mission of COMSATS University Islamabad. Overall objective of the library is to select, organize, and maintain print and electronic resources that support the curriculum and information needs of CUI academic community. Working in partnership with faculty, staff and students, library provides convenient access to quality information resources, and an e

nvironment that encourages study and personal growth. Library also provides information services which are customized to individual needs and which recognize their information requirements. Library’s colorful interior and innovative furniture makes it stunning and provide refreshing and rejoicing environment, which attracts users and compel them to spend time and study in relaxing and conducive environment. Research cubicles, study carrels and discussion rooms provide excellent environment for individual and group study. This is a lending library and is playing a vital role in increasing research output of CUI by helping faculty and students in their research work through its organized information resources. Gathering information, organizing it in such a way that it can be retrieved effectively, making it accessible, and disseminating this information to the relevant users are the major functions of the library. Junaid Zaidi Library arranged an Information Literacy session for its newly inducted students in the MS (English) Department. The purpose of this session was to educate the students about the library resources, services, and facilities and to make them realize how they can better use these resources in their pedagogical activities. Mr. Arslan Sheikh was the resource person for the session. The session ended with a question-and-answer discussion with students and hands-on practice on the computer workstations to use the HEC Digital Library.

The Junaid Zaidi Library warmly welcomes its newly enrolled students at the CUI Islamabad campus. In this regard, the library conducted orientation sessions for its newly inducted students on the Orientation Day, held on September 3, 2023. The purpose of these sessions was to educate the students about the library's resources, services, and facilities, along with the rules and regulations. A large number of students enthusiastically attended these library orientation sessions.

Junaid Zaidi Library is organizing a Book Exhibition on Tuesday-Wednesday, March 7-8, 2023, in front Lawn of the Electrical and Computer Engineering, E&CE department.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, and after this, the stalls of well-known booksellers/vendors will be open for faculty, staff, and students.
Through this exhibition, the faculty, students, and staff will have the opportunity to select/suggest/recommend books for the Library and to purchase books at discounted prices.
All Faculty, staff, and students are cordially invited to attend the Exhibition.
