By: Gholam Mujtaba, M.D., Ed.D.
Total number of votes secured in 92 polling stations by 4 major political parties = 54,058
Total Number of Votes bagged by the WINNER, the PPP = 23,840 or 44.10%
Total Number of Votes bagged by the runner up, the MQM= 18,106 or 33.49%
Total Number of Votes secured by PML-N = 5,353 or 9.9%
Total Number of Votes secured by PTI of Imran Khan = 5,098 or 9.43%
Total Number of votes secured by JI = 1,661 or 3.07%
Imran Khan could hardly secure 9.4% votes in Karachi by-elections which clearly reflects that he has bee REJECTED by the masses.
The underlying Question:
How can a man dream to be the Prime Minister of Pakistan who represents 9% voters in Sindh which means no Provincial representation, devoid of any visible support in the province of Baluchistan, GB, and a small minority in Punjab?
This time IK is losing his government in the KPK as well. The ANP-JUI coalition is set to form a new KPK government after the 2018 national elections.
CONCLUSION:
These results and projections clearly reflect a complete wash-out of Tehreek e Insaf from the political arena of Pakistan in the 2018 elections.
It’s a lesson that the nation choose leadership character over corruption.
Imran has been pronounce to be father of an illegitimate child by the California court. The issue has been noticed seriously by a nation calling herself a Muslim state.
Finally, it can safely said that these results bring hopes that the moral values still play a role in national politics, thus creating optimism towards reformation in the country faced through rampant corruption.
