🎬 PTDC Trains Young Travel Vloggers in Digital Storytelling 🇵🇰

PTDC, in collaboration with Vivo Pakistan, PNCA and Mishal Pakistan, successfully conducted a Mobile Journalism (MoJo) and Digital Storytelling workshop in Islamabad.

👥 60 young participants from across Pakistan were trained in mobile filmmaking, content creation and responsible tourism.

🌄 Participants divided in three groups were taken to Rohtas Fort, Katas Raj and Patriata Resort for field-based content creation.

🏆 Top 20 will qualify for a fully sponsored Northern Areas tour, while Top 3 winners will receive high value Vivo smartphones.

⚠️ Travel Advisory for Tourists Visiting Northern Areas of Pakistan

In view of the weather alert issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), tourists planning to visit Pakistan’s northern regions are advised to exercise caution during their travel from 10–15 June 2026.

Heavy rainfall is expected in various parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and adjoining mountainous areas, which may result in flash floods, landslides, road blockages, and travel disruptions.

PTDC Advisory for Travelers: ✅ Avoid non-essential travel to high-altitude and vulnerable mountainous areas during periods of intense rainfall.
✅ Stay updated on weather forecasts and road conditions before commencing your journey.
✅ Exercise extra caution near rivers, streams, and flood-prone locations.
✅ Keep emergency supplies, first-aid kits, and communication devices readily available.
✅ Follow instructions issued by local authorities and disaster management agencies.
✅ In case of any emergency, contact the NDMA Helpline at 1422.

پاکستان ہاکی فیڈریشن کا نیشنل ویمنز ہاکی چیمپئن شپ کا اعلان، ایونٹ جولائی 2026 میں ہوگا۔

اسلام آباد: خواتین کے کھیلوں کے لیے تاریخی قدم، ملک بھر سے ٹیمیں شرکت کریں گی،

پاکستان میں خواتین کے کھیلوں کے لیے ایک تاریخی پیش رفت کے طور پر، پاکستان ہاکی فیڈریشن نے "قومی ویمنز ہاکی چیمپئن شپ" کے انعقاد کا باضابطہ اعلان کیا ہے۔ یہ باوقار ایونٹ جولائی 2026 کے دوسرے ہفتے میں وفاقی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد میں کھیلا جائے گا۔

چیمپئن شپ میں سندھ، پنجاب، خیبر پختونخوا (کے پی)، گلگت بلتستان ،اسلام آباد و دیگر ریجنز کی ٹیمیں مدمقابل ہوں گی، جو پاکستان بھر میں لڑکیوں کی ہاکی میں شرکت کو فروغ دینے اور اسے وسعت دینے کے لیے ایک اہم سنگِ میل ثابت ہوگا۔

پاکستان ہاکی فیڈریشن کے مطابق اس چیمپئن شپ کا بنیادی مقصد خواتین ینگ پلیئرز کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا، انہیں پیشہ ورانہ تربیت اور بہترین ماحول (ایکسپوژر) فراہم کرنا ہے۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ ایک ایسا مسابقتی راستہ تیار کرنا ہے جس کے ذریعے یہ کھلاڑی مردوں کی طرح قومی اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر پاکستان کی نمائندگی کر سکیں۔

پی ایچ ایف حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ اقدام ملک میں لڑکیوں کی ہاکی کے لیے ایک مضبوط اور پائیدار نظام کی بنیاد رکھے گا۔ فیڈریشن نے امید ظاہر کی کہ انشااللہ یہ اقدام پاکستان ہاکی کے لیے ایک روشن اور شاندار مستقبل کا آغاز ثابت ہوگا۔

پاکستان ہاکی فیڈریشن کے صدر محی الدین احمد وانی نے ٹورنامنٹ میں حصہ لینے والی تمام ٹیموں کے لیے نیک خواہشات کا اظہار بھی کیا ہے۔

خیبرپختونخوا کے چترال، شانگلہ، کوہستان، بٹگرام اور مانسہرہ میں اچانک سیلابی صورتحال پیدا ہو سکتی ہے فلڈ

Nepal Embassy Marks 73rd Everest Day with High-Level Ceremony in Islamabad

The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad organized an impressive event to celebrate the 73rd Anniversary of the First Ascent of Mount Everest, a remarkable milestone that continues to inspire courage, perseverance and the spirit of exploration. This high-level event brought together distinguished guests, including diplomats, government officials and number of renowned Pakistani mountaineers who have successfully summited Everest.

In her opening remarks, Nepal's Ambassador to Pakistan, H. E. Rita Dhital, recalled the historic first ascent of Mount Everest on 29 May 1953 and highlighted the record number of successful Everest summits during the Spring 2026 season, including climbers from Pakistan. She also emphasized the need for international cooperation to address climate change and protect mountain ecosystems.

Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Tourism attended as Chief Guest and stressed the importance of strengthening tourism cooperation between Pakistan and Nepal. He also emphasized the importance of sharing expertise with each other to develop economically beneficial mountain tourism.

Aftab ur Rehman Rana, Managing Director PTDC extended heartfelt congratulations to the Government of Nepal and the Embassy of Nepal on this significant milestone, while paying tribute to the enduring spirit, courage and achievements of legendary mountaineers from Nepal, Pakistan, and around the world. He also expressed PTDC’s commitment to fostering bilateral collaboration for the promotion of sustainable and responsible mountain tourism.

Maj Gen Irfan Arshad Khan HI(M) Irfan Arshad, President of Alpine Club of Pakistan, Mr. Nazir Sabir, Col. Jabbar Bhatti, Saad Munawar, and Salman Ateeque also addressed the audience on this occasion and highlighted the importance of sharing experiences and practices in the field of mountaineering between Nepal and Pakistan.

As home to iconic peaks such as Mount Everest and K2, our countries have a unique opportunity to lead global efforts in preserving mountain ecosystems while creating meaningful tourism opportunities for future generations.

May the spirit of Everest continue to inspire greater cooperation, friendship, and sustainability between our two nations.
