The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Amb. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, delivered a warm and meaningful Eid ul Fitr address to Home-Based Staff and Locally Recruited Staff of the High Commission. The gathering marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan with a spirit of unity, reflection, and gratitude, as the High Commission prepares to celebrate Eid ul Fitr tomorrow here in Islamabad.
In his remarks, H.E. Amb. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan extended heartfelt Eid greetings to all members of the High Commission, acknowledging their dedication and contributions throughout the year. He emphasized that Eid ul Fitr is not only a celebration but also a moment to reflect on the spiritual journey of Ramadan—a time that instills patience, humility, and compassion.
He highlighted the importance of gratitude, encouraging all staff to appreciate both personal and professional blessings. Reflecting on the lessons of Ramadan, he urged everyone to carry forward the values of kindness, discipline, and empathy into their daily lives and work environment.
The High Commissioner also underscored the importance of maintaining a harmonious and respectful workplace, noting that unity and mutual understanding are key to strengthening the mission’s success. He reminded attendees that as representatives of Malaysia abroad, they play an important role in reflecting the nation’s identity as a peaceful, respectful, and inclusive country.
In light of ongoing challenges faced in various parts of the world, he stressed that peace is something Malaysians deeply cherish and must continue to protect. He encouraged everyone to embody these values and contribute positively to both the workplace and the wider community.
As a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, H.E. Amb. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan also extended Eid food packages to all locally recruited staff, reflecting the spirit of sharing and care that defines the festive season.
Extending the festive spirit beyond the High Commission, the High Commissioner also conveyed sincere Eid ul Fitr greetings to the Government of Pakistan and its people, expressing appreciation for the warm relations and hospitality extended to Malaysia. He wished for continued friendship, prosperity, and peace between the two nations.
In closing, he once again extended his best wishes to all and shared a traditional Malaysian greeting: “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin,” a phrase that conveys warm Eid greetings while seeking forgiveness for any wrongdoings, both seen and unseen, in the spirit of reconciliation and renewal.
