DENIAL OF FABRICATED NEWS
Certain social media accounts, using fake identities, are circulating fabricated,self-concocted statements purportedly attributed to Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman, Board of Governors, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF),regarding the recent protest in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

It is categorically clarified that Syed Qamar Raza has neither given any interview nor met with any person, and no such statement has been issued by him. The news being circulated on social media is therefore completely false, fabricated and without any factual basis.

The deliberate dissemination of such misleading and concocted information appears to be part of a malicious campaign by unscrupulous elements seeking to create misunderstanding,confusion and mistrust among the public and to undermine state institutions.

Such irresponsible attempts to manipulate public opinion through fake and fabricated statements are strongly condemned. Those pursuing such nefarious designs will not succeed in their
objectives. The people of Pakistan, including overseas Pakistanis, remain fully capable of distinguishing truth from propaganda and stand united in support of the country’s institutions and national interests.
It is advised that the public should not give any credence to such fabricated reports

OPF Distributes First Accidental Death Insurance Claim

Islamabad: In a significant milestone for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis, the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has successfully facilitated its first Accidental Death Insurance claim for a voluntary OPF member who was based in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing its commitment to providing financial protection and support to members and their families in times of need.

Managing Director OPF, Mr. Afzaal Bhatti, presented a cheque of PKR 1 million under the Accidental Death Insurance Coverage to the bereaved family, along with a PKR 50,000 Funeral Grant. The assistance aims to provide immediate financial relief to the family during a difficult period.

The Accidental Death Insurance initiative is designed to provide eligible voluntary OPF members with financial protection against unforeseen circumstances, including accidental death and permanent disability. The successful processing of the first claim marks an important step in translating this welfare initiative into meaningful support for OPF members and their families.

As part of the wider support extended to the family, the widow was also provided a sewing machine through Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal, helping create an opportunity for livelihood support and greater financial stability.

The first successful claim reflects OPF’s continued efforts to strengthen its welfare services and ensure that its members and their families receive timely and practical assistance when faced with unexpected challenges. Through such initiatives, OPF remains committed to standing with overseas Pakistanis and their families—not only in moments of achievement, but also in times when support matters most.

عید میلاد النبی ﷺ کی پُروقار تقریب
اوورسیز پاکستانیز فاؤنڈیشن (OPF) کے ہیڈ آفس میں عید میلاد النبی ﷺ کے سلسلے میں ایک پُروقار اور روح پرور تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس میں ایم ڈی او پی ایف جناب محمد افضل بھٹی، نعت خواں حضرات اور او پی ایف کے افسران و ملازمین نے شرکت کی۔

تقریب کا آغاز تلاوتِ کلامِ پاک سے ہوا، جبکہ نعت خواں حضرات نے بارگاہِ رسالت ﷺ میں عقیدت کے پھول پیش کیے، جس سے محفل کا ماحول محبتِ رسول ﷺ سے معطر ہوگیا۔
اس موقع پر ایم ڈی او پی ایف محمد افضل بھٹی نے سیرتِ طیبہ ﷺ کے روشن اور قابلِ عمل پہلوؤں پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ حضور اکرم ﷺ کی حیاتِ مبارکہ ہمارے لیے کامل نمونہ ہے۔ آپ ﷺ کی تعلیمات ہمیں محبت، اخوت، عدل، دیانت، صبر، برداشت اور انسانیت کی خدمت کا درس دیتی ہیں۔

انہوں نے زور دیا کہ محبتِ رسول ﷺ کا حقیقی تقاضا یہ ہے کہ ہم آپ ﷺ کی سیرت و تعلیمات کو اپنی انفرادی اور اجتماعی زندگی کا حصہ بنائیں اور اپنے کردار و عمل سے اسوۂ حسنہ کی پیروی کریں۔

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَﷺ

OPF Hajj Balloting for Hajj Package 2027: Successful Candidates Announced

Islamabad: A Hajj Balloting ceremony was held at the Head Office of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) to select employees for performing Hajj under Hajj Package 2027. Managing Director OPF Mr. Muhammad Afzal Bhatti conducted the balloting and announced the names of the successful candidates.

In the Executive/Officer category, Shaista Bano Jamali, Assistant Director (Grade 7), OPF R.O. Karachi, and Muhammad Azam, Director (Grade 10), Audit Division, were selected as the successful candidates.

Asghar Ali, Deputy Director (Grade 8), Finance Division, and Syeda Nafees Zahra, Additional Director (Grade 9), W & S Division, were selected as standby candidates in the Executive/Officer category.

In the Non-Executive/staff category, the successful candidates selected through the balloting include Ghulam Farid from OPF R.O. Multan, Raza Shaikh from OPF R.O. Karachi, Faisal Mehmood from Finance Division, Abdul Ghafoor from W & S Division, Muhammad Amir from Administration Wing, and Usman Arshad Cheema from OPF R.O. Mirpur.

Meanwhile, Tariq Mehmood from Audit Division, Faizan Ahmed from Finance Division, and Muhammad Ali from MD’s Secretariat were selected as standby candidates in the Non-Executive category.

OPF congratulates all the successful candidates and wishes them a blessed and spiritually rewarding Hajj journey.

ملاقات میں یونان میں مقیم پاکستانی کمیونٹی کو درپیش مختلف مسائل پر تبادلۂ خیال متوقع ہے۔

چیئرمین بورڈ آف گورنرز اوورسیز پاکستانی فاؤنڈیشن جناب قمر رضا مہمان خصوصی تھے ،جبکہ ویلفیئر اتاشی سفارت خانہ پاکستان یونان محترمہ نازش امجد کی اپنی ٹیم کے ہمراہ شرکت نے بھی سیمینار کی اہمیت کو بڑھاوا دیا۔
یونان کے دارلحکومت ایتھنز میں پاکستانی برادری کی قدیمی کلچرل سوسائٹی(موجودہ (ASIANA) کے صدر سید محمد جمیل نے یونان میں مقیم پاکستانی برادری کو پاکستان میں درپیش مسائل کو منظر عام پر لانے کیلئے ایک شاندار کمیونٹی سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا جسمیں چیئرمین او پی ایف سید قمر رضا مدعو تھے،یاد رہے کہ سید قمر رضا ان دنوں یورپی یونین کے ممالک کے دورے پر ہیں جہاں پاکستانی برادری کے سیمینارز میں شرکت،سمندر پار پاکستانی شہریوں کی دادرسی انکی گہری دلچسپی کا مظہر ہے،
اس پر وقار تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز تلاوت کلام پاک اور ہدیہ نعت سے ہوا،ناظم سیمینار سید اشیر حیدر نے یونان میں مقیم پاکستانی برادری کی آمد اور اسکے سفر پر ایک اچکتی ہوئی نظر دوڑاتے ہوئے موجودہ صورتحال پر روشنی ڈالی۔
یونان میں کمیونٹی سیمینار ایک کھلی کچہری کی شکل اختیار کر گیا جہاں پاکستانی شہریوں نے اپنے حل طلب مسائل بیان کیئےُ، جناب چیئرمین نے سوالوں کے جوابات دئیے اور بعض مسائل کے تدارک کیلئے ہرممکن کوشش اور تعاون کا وعدہ کیا۔
