🇵🇰🤝🇯🇵 From short-term interventions to sustainable national systems.

Pleased to meet the JICA delegation to advance Pakistan–Japan cooperation on one of our most urgent priorities: bringing out-of-school children into meaningful education and skills pathways.

Our vision is clear every child must have access not only to education, but to quality learning, relevant skills and a pathway to a better future. Together with our partners, we are strengthening systems that Pakistan can sustain, scale and lead.

Education with skills is the way forward — and no child should be left behind.

🇵🇰🤝🇺🇸

Pleased to witness another important milestone in Pakistan–United States educational relations with the renewal of the Fulbright-HEC partnership through a new five-year agreement between HEC and USEFP.

The revival of the Pakistan–U.S. Higher Education Working Group after nearly 14 years created renewed momentum for meaningful engagement, and today we are translating that dialogue into tangible opportunities for our students, scholars, faculty and institutions.

Through Fulbright and other academic exchange programmes, we are investing in Pakistan’s most valuable asset — our people — by strengthening higher education, research, innovation and globally competitive human capital.

I deeply appreciate the commitment of HEC, USEFP, the U.S. Embassy and all stakeholders who have worked together to take this partnership forward.

Education remains one of the strongest and most enduring bridges between Pakistan and the United States. Our focus is clear: stronger institutions, greater opportunities for our youth, and partnerships that deliver lasting results. 🇵🇰🇺🇸

A child cannot learn to their full potential if they are hungry, unwell, anxious, unsafe or excluded.
Recognizing this, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) has developed the Federal Wellbeing and Nutrition Plan to promote healthier, safer and more supportive school environments.
The Plan brings together key areas including nutrition, physical and mental wellbeing, inclusion, and teacher wellbeing—recognizing that these are fundamental to children’s ability to learn and thrive.

As we move from policy to implementation, MoFEPT has trained around 600 teachers across FDE schools to equip them with practical tools to promote student wellbeing.

Federal Secretary Mr. Nadeem Mahbub recently visited the Tarlai Training Centre, where he interacted with participants, addressed the teacherys and distributed certificates following the successful completion of all training cohorts.
Healthy children. Supportive schools. Better learning.
