THIS POST IS A CALL FOR DONATIONS FOR A 14 YEAR OLD CANCER PATIENT

We had a driver, Lateef, who used to work for our company. Recently we found out that his son, Atif, 14 year old has been diagnosed with blood cancer(leukaemia). He is currently being treated by Childrens Hospital Lahore; he was admitted for the previous 4-5 months but now is discharged, however he still has 5 chemotherapies per week, which require injections and different medical tests regularly. The treatment for leukaemia is expensive as each injection costs Rs.15000-Rs.20000pkr, which he requires 15-20 times a month.

The good news is Atif CAN recover in a time of 5-6 months, however, the family is in a severe financial crisis and needs your help in these troubling times. Lateef has had to take a loan of Rs. 250,000 already and has had to put up his house for sale. The company he was currently working with, also closed down due to Covid-19 and he unfortunately lost his job as well. Right now, the life of his son is dependant on whether the family can sufficiently provide for his treatment.The treatment for leukaemia is expensive as each injection costs Rs.12000-Rs.20000pkr, which he requires 5 times a week.

We are requesting you all to please come together as a community and help him as much as you can. Lateef also has another son, aged 12, who contracted jaundice recently, leading to a heart complication. Although he is on his way to recovery, his medications also cost around Rs.20000, monthly. This is a worrying time for the family and the Atif's life depends on whether we can help him pay for his treatment. Please contribute generously and please share this post as much as you can amongst your friends, family, colleagues and other social groups.

A Corner Meeting was conducted with the local people of the village Toor, District Jhelum. The Chairman Dard-E-Insaaniyat Movement (DIM), Saqlain Sahi chaired the meeting.

All the attendees of the meeting agreed to strictly adhere to the No Vote This Time Campaign in the coming local body elections.

After deep contemplation, we have decided not to make any sort of alliance with any political party of Pakistan. We find no party truly concerned about the welfare of the people.

Moreover, because of the lack of development of understanding between the DIM and DC Office, Islamabad, we have cancelled our commitments with the DC Office, Islamabad. The Mega Tree Plantation Project has also been cancelled.

We shall now onwards arrange the 'Imdad-e-Elahi-o-Nabvi' Program at the grass root level. Privacy shall be ensured regarding the issues of the people and we shall use our potential to resolve their legitimate issues.

The Chairman Dard-E-Insaaniyat Movement (DIM), Saqlain Sahi, again, had the honor of meeting with the one of the finest civil bureaucrats, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Islamabad, Mr. Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat.

Significant progress has been made in the Mega Tree Plantation Project in Islamabad. The credit goes to the Mr. Deputy Commissioner.
