-FBR Extends Customs Operations for Year-End Tax Collection Boost-
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has declared that the 's field formations will be operational on December 30-31, 2023, with extended working hours until 10:00 p.m. to maximize the collection of duty and taxes. Instructions have been issued to Chief Collectors of Customs in this regard.

at Torkham seized illicit items, including narcotics and ammunition, from an Afghan trailer. The operation, based on credible information, led to the arrest of the driver, Jalal Khan Mohmand. Confiscated goods, valued at Rs. 8,486,500, include Ice (Rs. 2,250,000), magazines (Rs. 40,000), cartridges (Rs. 57,500), instant yeast (Rs. 4,000), and the trailer (Rs. 5,000,000). FIR No.29/2023 is filed, with ongoing investigations to trace the source and nab other culprits.
