meet with *Minister for Women Development; MPA Shehla Raza*,
Regarding
1- legislation to give some relief to women and trans participants in election, either half or complete waiver of mendatory presence of rupees 25 lac in there accounts during electios
2- there should be proper monitoring during hiring of women and trans for the posts announced by ministry of education.

This is great to announce that MPA Shehla Raza agreed on all points and she also promised an other meeting of this group with Mr.Bilawal Bhutto as soon as possible.

CIP Karachi region's delegation met with Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, led by *Naseem Akhtar Shaikh, Sajida andleeb (mairah foundation) and Bindia Rana(trans)*, In which the participation of Trans In different sports and the role of the Ministry of Sports was discussed, Secretary Sports Syed Imtiaz Shah assured his full cooperation if written proposal is submitted,
Therefore it was proposed to organise friendly Cricket matches between Trans and women teams.

*MAIRA FOUNDATION* had yet another successful consultative meeting for a possible future collaborated intervention with IDO, to address how to stop de-forestation in Sindh, and grow forest lands in future. The meeting took place between Mr. Zain Daudpoto; the CEO of IDO (Indus Development Organization) and two-member team from MAIRA Foundation; vice president Mr. Aminudin Abro and Ms. Sajida Baloch the general secretary from Foundation.
IDO was registered back in 1995 and Mr. Zain has work experience on Human rights & agri-business including livestock and Bee-Hives farming. IDO is also working on restoration of forest lands. IDO is already member of UNFCC, Green Climate Korea, as observer for Pakistan and Global forest coalition member –the only member from Pakistan.
Mr. Zain detailing the international statistics explained the significance of Trees in human development, and the amount of the required oxygen they produce to sustain life. Mr. Zain explained for each man to live, requires 33 trees to produce the required amount of oxygen for him/her in an average lifetime. From the perspective of same statistics, Sindh requires 5 million acres of forest land to grow trees to produce required amount of oxygen to sustain life. It was further discussed that there are very few trees in urban setting, consequently we are experiencing more respiratory ailments in cities and the problem prevails twofold, one because of scarce trees and the other the air being choked with smog from industries and carbon emission from automobiles. Strategies to tackle the issues and joint collaborated efforts were discussed in detail.

today conducted a meeting with the Chairman PZPO (Pakistan Zindabad People's Organization) *Ms. Farheen Mughal;* former MPA PPP and a close aide of former PM Martyred *Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto*, at her residence.
Ms. Mughal showed keen interest with shared goals of MAIRA Foundation and took great interest in learning about Foundation's social networking strategies. The level of her enthusiasm is reflected from her desire for a contact information and setting up a meeting with *Mam Rafia Bangash* tomorrow in this regard. The

Mairah Foundation acknowledges her participation and great hospitality with love, respect and gratitude .

Mehrdar Art & Production is giving an open call for ideas for Short Films & Social Campaigns under its new initiative Connecting Communities offering fellowship to 120 participants under two categories of Film & Campaign, with 60 seats in each.

This Fellowship will offer 96 hours of training, mentoring & resources to passionate youth, between the age of 18-30, from Chakiwara, Nawabad, Khadda Memon Society Lyari, Ibrahim Hyderi, Maripur, Saeedabad, Chakra Goth, Shireen Jinnah, Paposh Nagar, Sakhi Hassan, Pehlwan Goth OR Gulzar E Hijri interested in working on social change through Films or Campaigns.
