Bridging academic learning with real-world industry exposure is essential for shaping future engineers.

We were pleased to host final-year students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of NED Academy, NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi for an industrial visit to our Denim Mill at Unit-08, providing hands-on insights relevant to their semester projects.

During the visit, students explored the operational flow of denim manufacturing — from advanced machinery and process optimization to energy efficiency and sustainable production practices. The session offered a practical understanding of how engineering principles translate into large-scale industrial performance within a globally competitive denim operation.

Such engagements reflect Soorty Enterprises - Pvt. Ltd.'s commitment to knowledge sharing, transparency, and industry–academia collaboration. Ltd. continued its commitment to employee well-being with another insightful session in our ongoing mental health and wellness series, hosted this time at Unit 14 for the entire Cluster 2 workforce. Led by Dr. Asif Khan, Vice President at Savaira, the session focused on practical ways to strengthen emotional resilience, workplace harmony, and day-to-day well-being.

Colleagues engaged in meaningful conversations and simple, grounding exercises that highlighted the core pillars of mental wellness - from managing stress and improving focus to building healthier thought patterns and cultivating balanced work-life habits. The session reinforced that resilience is a skill we build over time, nourished by awareness, support, and consistent small actions.
