Bilal (pseudo name) is a person we have previously supported through Zaria Foundation. We helped him set up a small general store so he could establish a sustainable source of income and support his family.

At the time, however, Bilal was undergoing regular dialysis due to kidney failure. Because of his ongoing dialysis and health condition, he was unable to properly manage the business and earn a stable income.

His doctors have now advised him to undergo a kidney transplant. Alhamdulillah, Bilal has a potential living donor — his brother has agreed to donate a kidney, subject to the required medical tests and approvals.

The estimated cost of the kidney transplant, medical tests, hospital expenses, and related donor expenses is PKR 650,000.

Having a family donor also gives Bilal an important opportunity. Finding a donor from outside the family can involve significantly higher costs, which his family cannot afford.

Amina (pseudo name) is in the final stage of a high-risk pregnancy. Sadly, she previously experienced a miscarriage, making this pregnancy especially delicate.

After medical evaluation, doctors have advised that she requires an urgent C-section along with proper medical care to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. Due to the urgency of her condition, waiting for the available arrangements at the government hospital is not a safe option.

Her husband is a daily wage laborer and the family’s financial situation does not allow them to arrange the PKR 210,000 required for the operation and hospital expenses.
