The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee commonly known as CPLC was established on 31st August 1989 at Sindh Governor Secretariat, a brainchild of the then Governor Sindh, Justice (Retd) Fakhruddin G. CPLC Sindh is a non-political statutory institution, operationally independent and managed by dedicated and concerned citizens offering their honorary services. CPLC Sindh has 11 different CPLC - Zonal
Reporting Cells and CPLC - District Reporting Cells across the province. These ZRCs and DRCs are located at SSP offices and / or DIG offices for easy access of general public to lodge their complaints. Currently CPLC has 07 offices in Karachi, has an office in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Mirpukhas and Shaheed Benazirabad with its Central Reporting Cell - CRC located in Sindh Governor Secretariat. Dedication, motivation, honesty and service above self is the essential ingredient of a CPLC member, as he / she is expected to always endeavor to provide relief equally to all citizens irrespective of their caste, creed, financial status or political affiliation at all times.
