SERVICES
Due to humanity even in Banglies they helped out without distinctions, provided eatable items even in the dark nights to the hostages in the camps. I also took the responsibilities of serving the people in this camp, while I was child ageing 15 years only but I was eldest in serving the humanity with the spirit and emotions. I thought that one day I was to die as I never knew that I will go to Pakistan alive or dead. I was imaging each day seemed last day of my life, thinking that I could do the work which could be benefited to the people. It was my emotion and spirit that I could serve but also I was in emotion, doing the service of the people from my own hands. Nobody can give anything to anyone else, as the God is to give every thing to the human-being.
I decided without caring of my life, I early morning, while people were sleeping, left the came and go out for MANDI. Near the camp there was local train plying and I was well versed in Bangali Language and I disguised like Bangalies so the Bangalies could not ascertain me and from the Mandies, two bags of “PATATO and two bags of ONION”. Rs.20/- per 40 Kilos of Potatoes and Onion. I threw the 4 bags and Potatoes and Onions from the running train and leaped myself from the train. I sell out the same commodities Rs.2/- Per Kilo and Rs.80/- per 40 Kilos and people were buying with big queue. And thus I earn Rs.500/- to Rs.600/- daily and the earned money were disbursed amongst the helpless and oppressed people who did not have money at all and the same was continued till months. In that time the cost of Gold per Tola was Rs.250/- and oppressed and needy persons were selling out their Gold in Rs.200/- per Tola and from this money they were buying the essential commodities. Some time later there was aid starting from the Red Cross, providing rice, wheat, Vegetables and dried milk etc. each week and the people were passing like this in the camps. I remained myself whole night and day in the camp alongwith the oppressed and needy persons and remained myself in the serve of needy persons. I also remained myself without food keeping in view the needy, oppressed and aggrieved persons who were also without meal.
I was passionately and daringly and remained myself stronger and made out the mission of human service. After one year, repatriation in the year 1973 with Army and relatives were started and thus I also came to Pakistan. Unfortunately after 43 years the same Camp is still available in Chittagong and Dacca. People over there in camp love with Pakistan and raise slogans in favour of Pakistan and on the earth of Bangladesh, there was a flag of Pakistan still waiving in the camp. I also returned back to Pakistan. Right now the people of over there are still awaiting eagerly and expecting from the politicians and Army of Pakistan and they have wish that one day they will go to Pakistan. The social and this aggrieved time will take Pakistan further. There was a camp installed at Lahore where army and civilian people welcomed to us and given us Rs.300/- cash payment and I returned back to Karachi on the 3rd day and started my life from Karachi and bought second hand suit from the Market and sell it out in the market and sleep on the foot path in night and participated in social work like helping to the aggrieved and oppressed persons and to take them to hospital. In the mean time in 1980 there was fire erupted in Super Market, Liaquatabad, Karachi as a result of which most of the shops were burned to ash. I served day and night with money, and bodily. As I was impressed with the service of Abdul Sattar Edhi and kept the foundation of ALAM WELFARE and represented and led me and kept me his hands on my head. Thus I started the social work with 5 Ambulance and 5 welfare clinic centre which we started from Liaquatabad, F.C. Area, Moosa Colony, Orangi Town and New Karachi Allahwali. One year hardly elapsed unfortunately the civil violence in Karachi erupted in the year 1986, Jallao, gherao and terrible violence erupted in Aligarh and Qasba Colony, Karachi, thousand were died. I installed camp at Islamia Masjid, Jhanda Chowk Liaquatabad, Karachi and I was busy in picking up the dead and injured bodies, the city was burnt and scarcity was on climax.
