6-Inch Gun Batteries M1900
Model used in Addu Atoll , Port T Bases

There are two models of 6-Inch rapid fire guns commonly used in the Coast Artillery. The older gun, the M1900, had a maximum range of 17,000 yards (9.6 miles). The newer gun, the Model I (T2), had a maximum range of about 26,000 yards (14.7 miles) and was part of a program that updated Coast Artillery batteries during WW2.
