A surprise visit was conducted by the Director Training and Research,Mst.Rukhsana Kausar to the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Sahiwal on 27.8.2026 to assess the overall academic, administrative, and clinical activities of the school.
During visit, the Director inspected the classrooms, nursing skill laboratories, offices, library, and boarding facility of students .
It was emphasized for the faculty during class room teaching and lab to improve the student's communication skills and clinical skills with increased practice . Students were encouraged to maintain nursing and midwifery discipline and ethics .
The Director also talked to faculty for maintaining professional ethics and provide a conducive learning environment to students.Mangement of the school was instructed to arrange safety and security measurements.Safety Drill at school was advised in collaboration of civil defence and rescue services of the district .It was directed to ensure functionality of electronics including safety cameras at hostel ,class rooms,labs and AV Aids . Overall cleanliness was appreciated .

Mst. rukhsana kausar ,director training and research paid surprise visit of school of nursing and midwifery Faisalabad on 20th August 2026 .
She visited the class rooms ,skill and science lab and hostel . Students of BS midwifery discussed issues related to hostel mess and matters related to their accomodation at hostel and class room environment . Principal and administrative staff were given on spot directions to manage the issues related to students and report to director .
she instructed supervisory committee to maintain quality of meals in hostel and arrange cook on urgent basis.To maintain standards of cleanliness, instructions were given to concerned staff.Admin officer of the school will report the compliance of on spot directions in person with in three working days to this effect .

The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SoNM), Lahore proudly celebrated the 79th Pakistan Independence Day on 14th August 2026 with great zeal, enthusiasm, and patriotic spirit.

The celebrations commenced with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony led by Director TR & P, Health & Population Department, Madam Rukhsana Kauser, along with Principal SoNM Lahore, Dr. Ariba Majeed, Faculty Members, Administrative Staff, and enthusiastic students.

Following the flag hoisting ceremony, a Plantation Activity was also organized as a symbol of our commitment to a greener, healthier, and more prosperous Pakistan.

On this auspicious occasion, Madam Rukhsana Kauser, Director TR & P, H&P Department, addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message about Pakistan’s future, emphasizing the importance of unity, dedication, responsibility, and the active role of the younger generation in building a strong and prosperous Pakistan.

The celebrations continued with the active participation of students in Speech, National Song, and Poster Making Competitions, where they showcased their talent, creativity, confidence, and love for the motherland.

The event beautifully reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism, national pride, and collective responsibility, reminding us that the progress of Pakistan depends on the dedication and contributions of every citizen.

World population day was celebrated in school of Nursing and Midwifery Faisalabad with full zeal and zest.
"Realizing the hopes and inspirations of youth Today and for the future" was theme of this year.
Principal SONM Fsd (Dr Nusrat Gulzar Bhatti) highlighted the hezards of rapid popularion growth.
Students of BSN and BSM participated in Speech, quiz and poster competition.
A walk was arranged by the faculty and students of SONM Faisalabad.

Concluding session of faculty development programme w.e.f 9 to 19 june 2026 duly organized for faculty of SoNMs Punjab by Health Services Academy ,Islamabad was held at Pwti Lahore . Distinguished guests Dr Marrium sarfraz, dean nursing and midwifery department HSA, Hasna batool , program analyst UNFPA ,Rukhsana kausar director TR&P participated in this session. Training review / feed back from trainees and trainers was rated as successful course completion to meet the core objective of equiping the trainees with basic skills of midwifery education . Certificates were also distributed among trainees .

Director training,research and production visited school of nursing and midwifery ,Multan to check the condition of hostel renovation . She met with xen, SDO ,sub engineer and contractor on the spot. She pointed out the essential task to complete today for accommodating the students of BS nursing and BS midwifery . She also instructed principal to ensure residence facility of students .principal SoNM Multan discuss implementing plan of student accomodation from today . To ensure student safety and security , arrangement of cameras installation at hostel facility was also directed to principal and warden . Further Building department Multan team was asked to ensure quality completion of renovation and upgradation of SoNM Multan as per timeline of pc 1 .They were instructed on the spot to maintain standard in finishing work .@

Meeting of RMNCAH / Midwifery technical working group was arranged by population programme wing at ministry of national health,regulation and coordination ,Islamabad in collaboration with UNFPA on 15th June .2026 . From all provinces concerned stakes attended the meeting on the agenda of midwifery educational standard ,scope of practice and career path way of midwives in Pakistan .@

10 days training under faculty development plan for faculty of BS Midwifery programme of health and population ,Punjab organised by Health Services Academy Islamabad w.e.f 9 to 19 june 2026. Nursing faculty of 4 schools participated in this training course .
