A meeting to review the progress of e-auction rounds of Minor Minerals and Small Scale Mining was held today under the chairmanship of the Secretary Mines & Minerals Department.

The DG M&M, Director Licensing, Minor Minerals & Small Scale Division attended the meeting and briefed the Chair regarding the outcomes of the auction, including successful and unsuccessful bids for various zones.

Directions were issued to take appropriate measures to make un-auctioned block/zones more attractive and offer them again in the next round to ensure maximum revenue realization.

A meeting to review the progress of the ADP Scheme titled “CM Punjab Value Addition Financing for Pink Salt” was held today under the chairmanship of the Secretary Mines & Minerals Department.

Representatives of the BOP, PITB and DG Mines and Minerals participated in the meeting and shared updates on the implementation of the scheme, including the number of applications received, applications currently under review and loans approved so far.

Directions were issued to all concerned to speed up the process of disbursement and ensure timely implementation of the scheme

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary Mines & Minerals Department on 04.08.2026 at 12:30 p.m. to discuss the rationalization of the existing mineral zones in various regions of Punjab and the issue of illegal subletting of mining leases by lessees.

Directions were issued to finalize zoning of mineral deposits in all districts of Punjab, irrespective of whether the existing mining leases are still valid or have already expired and to take strict action against the lessees who continue to engage in subletting despite repeated warnings.
