August 19, 2026: Third Programme of the “Koi Qabil Ho To” Series
The Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex organized the third programme of its ongoing educational and literary series, “Koi Qabil Ho To,” with the aim of promoting Iqbal’s thought, the study of Iqbal, and literary appreciation among the younger generation. The programme featured a Bait Bazi competition based on the poetry of Allama Iqbal, with the theme “Shaheen, parwaz, Eagle, etc.”
Students from various universities and educational institutions participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating their strong affinity with Iqbal’s poetry, excellent poetic memory, literary understanding, and presence of mind. During the competition, the participants presented verses of Allama Iqbal highlighting the ideals of high aspiration, selfhood, determination, courage, and perseverance, symbolized by the Shaheen .
The participants included Alishba Parveen from Ilm-o-Hunar Foundation, Green Town, Lahore; Asma Zulfiqar from Digital Marketing; Manahil Saeed from Gulab Devi Educational Complex; Tausifa Shafiq from the University of Education; and Muhammad Furqan Saeed and Khadija Ali from LACAS School.
After an exciting and closely contested competition, Tausifa Shafiq of the University of Education secured first position. In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was presented with a cash prize, certificate, and other awards.
The competition was conducted and academically guided by renowned Iqbal Studies scholar Dr. Muhammad Saleem Rao. At the conclusion of the programme, Administrator Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex Anjum Waheed distributed prizes and certificates among the position holder and other participants.
The “Koi Qabil Ho To” series aims to introduce young people to the poetry of Allama Iqbal, cultivate a habit of reading and literary appreciation, and transmit Iqbal’s philosophy and vision to the younger generation in a manner relevant to contemporary needs.
