The destruction of Skardu Software Technology Park has had a serious impact on the IT community of Gilgit-Baltistan. Several companies were operating in the park, and nearly 200+ individuals were connected to it for their livelihood.

This technology park was not just a building it was an important institution for youth empowerment, where young people were gaining skills, opportunities, and employment in the IT sector.

It also served as a major incubation center for the IT sector in Gilgit-Baltistan, especially Baltistan, where many companies and freelancers were working and building their careers.

The loss of this facility is not only the loss of infrastructure but also a setback for the growing technology ecosystem of the region.

We urge the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan to take immediate steps for the rehabilitation and support of the affected companies, freelancers, and young professionals, and to rebuild the Software Technology Park so that the IT sector in the region can recover and continue to grow.

شبیر مایار کی طرف سے شدید مزاحمت اس وڈیو میں دیکھی جا سکتی ہے۔ نوجوانوں کی طرف سے چلائی جانیوالی انتہائی پر امن تحریک جو انسانی زندگیوں کے بچاؤ کیلئے چلائی جا رہی ہے کی راہ میں رکاوٹیں شرمناک ہیں۔ شبیر مایار اور ان کے ساتھیوں کو سکردو آنے دیا جائے ۔

عوامی ایکشن کمیٹی گلگت بلتستان کے روح رواں احسان علی ایڈووکیٹ کی غیر قانونی اور بلاجواز گرفتاری کسی بھی صورت قابل برداشت نہیں شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کرتے ہیں، ہم یہ بات واضح کرتے ہیں ریاست پاکستان اوچھے ہتھکنڈے استعمال کر کے گلگت بلتستان کے محکوم طبقات کی توانا آوازوں کو دبا نہیں سکتی۔

ریاست کا یہ ناروا رویہ انتہائی شرمناک اور قابلِ مذمت ہے۔ بنیادی انسانی حقوق اور جمہوری مطالبات کے لیے جدوجہد کرنے والی آوازوں کو اس طرح کے شرمناک ہتھکنڈوں سے دبایا نہیں جا سکتا۔
