Statement by His Eminence Dr. M***i Akeel-ur-Rehman Pirzada, Grand M***i of Islamabad & Chairman, Ulema Aman (Peace) Committee Pakistan
Addressing members of the Ulema Aman (Peace) Committee Pakistan, His Eminence Dr.M***i Akeel-ur-Rehman Pirzada stated that the Fourth Consultative Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Republic of Türkiye, recently held in Cairo, is of great significance, and its outcomes will contribute positively towards peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
He noted that the Foreign Ministers held detailed discussions on regional and international developments and reaffirmed the importance of continued consultation and coordination among the four brotherly nations to promote peace, security, stability, and economic progress across the Middle East and the wider region. Grand M***i described this spirit of cooperation as a reflection of the wise vision and leadership of His Highness Mr. AbdelFattah Elsisi - عبد الفتاح السيسي, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt,
Referring to recent regional developments, Grand M***i welcomed the appreciation expressed by the participating Foreign Ministers regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad on 18 June 2026. He stated that the ministers highly commended the exemplary efforts of the Prime Minister of Pakistan His Highness Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal His Excellency Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defense Forces. for their constructive role in facilitating dialogue and promoting regional peace and stability. He added that Pakistan's historic role and successful mediation efforts received widespread recognition and praise from all participating countries.
Grand M***i further emphasized that one of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the reaffirmation of the centrality of the Palestinian cause in achieving peace, security, and stability in the Middle East. The Foreign Ministers reiterated their support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 4 June 1967 borders.
He also acknowledged the outstanding diplomatic efforts that contributed to strengthening relations and cooperation between the participating countries, particularly those of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Pakistan, His Excellency Dr. Ihab Mohamed Abdelhamid Hassan, and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt, His Excellency Mr.Aamir Shouket, whose tireless efforts have played an important role in advancing bilateral relations and mutual understanding.
Concluding his remarks, Grand M***i expressed gratitude to all friendly countries that, during a challenging period for the region, joined hands to resolve issues through dialogue and diplomacy and played a constructive role in strengthening regional security, stability, and the global economy. He expressed confidence that the outcomes of the Cairo meeting would further promote cooperation, understanding, and lasting peace across the region.
