The Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) is an organization, serves as an apex institution for In-Service training of public schools teachers, educational managers and one stop shop for capacity building needs of school teachers in Punjab, and furthering the National Education Policy by focusing on the professional development of public sector’s teacher and equipp

ing them with modern and innovative teaching techniques and methodologies by providing leadership and strategic planning to the sector. PECTAA is striving to develop a pool of capable teachers in public schools of the province. Capitalizing on a strong institutional base, including 43 District PECTAAs, 143 Tehsil PECTAAs and ADUs for teacher education and training.

MD Operations PECTAA, Dr Maliha Uroos visited the PECTAA Sahiwal to review administrative matters and monitor the ongoing English Language Proficiency Training for school teachers. During the visit, detailed discussions were held with the regional team to address administrative issues, strengthen institutional coordination and improve the overall efficiency of the regional office.

CEO PECTAA chaired separate meetings with BTAG and relevant stakeholders to review progress on the proposed Teacher Licensing Framework and discuss the way forward. A separate meeting also deliberated on imparting AI training to teachers, reaffirming PECTAA’s commitment to strengthening teacher capacity through professional standards and emerging technologies.

PECTAA convened a meeting of the Muttahida Ulema Board (MUB), Punjab in the PECTAA Sub Office, Gulberg, Lahore. Dr. M***i Intikhab Ahmad, Chairman, MUB chaired the meeting. Four renowned Ulema participated in the meeting and rigorously reviewed PECTAA's textbooks of Urdu-12, English-12 and Pakistan Studies-12. The Committee of MUB approved the PECTAA's Grade-12 textbooks for publishing. The Chairman, MUB appreciated the CEO, PECTAA for taking immediate actions regarding for timely provision of textbooks under legal Framework of PECTAA.
