*Purpose of the Blood Donation Camp:*

💠Society of Physiotherapy in collaboration with King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Regional blood center and the Rotaract Club of Hazara successfully held the first day of the blood donation camp.
💠On 7th May 2025, a blood donation camp was held at Hazara University, Dhodial, Mansehra.
💠The camp aimed to support thalassemia patients who require regular transfusions and to raise awareness on emergency preparedness, including wartime protocols.
💠The event took place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, during which over 120 donors, including students and faculty, participated actively.

The Society of Physiotherapy, in collaboration with King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Rotaract Club of Hazara, and the Regional Blood Centre Abbottabad, is organizing a two-day Blood Donation Camp aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and raising awareness about its life-saving impact.

World PT day is a global healthcare event celebrated on 8th of September every year since 1996, commemorating the date of World physiotherapy foundation in 1951.
This day serves as a homage to all the physiotherapists and the services they render, achieving the ultimate goal of a symptom-free movement at basic to complex physical activities in patients and the healthy alike.
The day also aims to create awareness about physiotherapy and the crucial contributions made by professionals towards keeping people fit, mobile and healthy.

Society of Physiotherapy (SOPT) Organized its Annual Grand Meeting in which all the Executive members were present. Meeting was held on Saturday 27 July 2024 at Google Meet. The main points discussed in the meeting are following:

1. Introduction
The meeting began with an introduction to the SOPT society, highlighting its mission and objectives. This set the stage for discussing the society's growth and future plans.

2. Society upgrade at Hazara and KP level
The society aims to upgrade its presence in Hazara and KP by increasing membership and establishing stronger connections with local communities. This will help amplify the society's impact and influence in these regions.

3. By-laws and Constitution
The meeting discussed reviewing and updating the society's by-laws and constitution to ensure they align with current goals and objectives. This will provide a solid foundation for the society's governance and decision-making processes.

4.. Ambassadors formation
The society plans to form a team of ambassadors who will represent SOPT in various regions and promote its mission. These ambassadors will play a crucial role in expanding the society's reach and network.

5. Previous projects

Society of Physiotherapy (SOPT) organized the 3rd workshop for students of Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) on Dry Needling With Electrical Stimulation.

Dr. Yaser Majeed PT gave the introduction of this workshop. The practical demonstration was given by Dr. Umair Anwar.

The workshop focused on the following points:
🔻 Dr. Yaser Majeed PT explained and guided the students during the introduction session on dry needling.
🔻 In this workshop, Dr. Umair Anwar taught the students through practical demonstrations.
🔻 Dr. Yaser Majeed delved into the principles and practical applications of Dry needling providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of this therapeutic technique.
🔻 Participants gained hands-on experience, improving their understanding of dry needling with electrical stimulation.
🔻 The workshop allowed the application of theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, enhancing skill development.
