The Community Management and Development Programme (CMDP) is a not for profit, non-political, and non-governmental progressive development organization, established in 2014 and it was officially registered in 2016 in Pakistan with the Registrar Joint Stock Companies and Societies under the societies Act XXI of 1860. It was conceived by planning, management and development (PM&D) professionals as a
platform to strengthen individual and institutional capacities to promote community management for justified sustainable development through innovative models and evidence based policy advocacy. The CMDP focusing on managing the community to perform for the enhanced livelihood through available and accessible resources for acquiring and sharpening the capabilities of the communities to perform various functions associated with their present and future roles as a society where all the people perform to increase their lobbying towards sustainable Socio-economic development with the skills necessary to make use of their available resources and recover their means of support and improve their livelihood standards. Working as a catalyst, CMDP is sitting-up need-oriented multi-sectorial development approaches to bring about positive changes in the society which ultimately improve the inclusive living conditions and create peaceful and tolerant environment within the communities which includes; Socio-economic empowerment of the women, Micro-finance (MF) for the holistic development, Resources and Social mobilization, Skill development and professional trainings, Agricultural development, Disadvantaged groups’ livelihood assistance, Institutional development, Community physical Infrastructures, Conservation and development of natural resources, Sustainable Environmental initiatives, Perfection of youth’s potential, Educational development initiatives , Eradication of child labor, Primary health care services, Disaster’s management, Relief and rehabilitation to meet the challenging needs of the communities in rural and urban areas.
