WHY WORLD DAY OF REMEMBRANCE?
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims was planed to celebrated by Rescue 1122, Pakpattan on 15th November 2016 in Coordination with Traffic Police, Punjab High Way Police, Education Department, Girls Guide Association, District Scouts Officer, NGO’s, and Community Participants. The District Emergency Officer Dr.Tahir Mehmood said that the Road Traffic Crashes in Pakistan are leading Cause of Death in Young People Between 15th To 30th Year Old.This day is dedicated to pay tribute to Rescuers of this Service and Other Emergency Crews Like Police, Volunteer and Medical Professionals who deal with traumatic after math of Road Traffic death and Injury. This Day is About Compassion and Prevention Keeping in View the Mission Statements of Rescue 1122 “CHANGING MINDS & SAVING LIVES”. Rescue 1122, Pakpattan Mourn those who have perished on the Road. Rescue 1122, Pakpattan Consoles the Grieving Families and Friends. Dr. Tahir Mehmood give message to all rescue organizations of the district, Although an International Standard Emergency Service is available for Rescue of Road Crashes Victims, the Alarming Increase in the Nature of avoidable Road Traffic Accidents necessitates to work together for Prevention of Such Emergencies to Build Safer Communities Hence Safer Pakistan.
