The two-day Pakistan Governance Forum 2026 concluded in Islamabad, bringing together over 500 participants and 100+ eminent speakers to deliberate on Pakistan’s governance reform agenda.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government set up a dedicated stall showcasing its reforms journey and milestones, which attracted strong interest from participants. Visitors appreciated KP’s paperless e-governance initiatives, including cashless system and end-to-end digital processing of e-summaries, files, and official correspondence through integrated application. Participants noted that these systems are fully implemented and functional, delivering quality public services online.
The stall also highlighted facilitation for STS taxpayers, with online tax registration, filing, and return submission now fully digitized.
Advisor on Finance KP Government, Mr. Muzamil Aslam, Additional Secretary Resource KP Finance Department,Mr. Touseef Khalid and MD IT Board represented KP Government in the Forum.Addressing the Forum, KP Adviser on Finance, Mr. Muzzammil Aslam highlighted landmark reforms including rapid digitization of public services, cashless salary and pension payments, establishment of a provincial Debt Management Fund, revenue reforms that doubled KP’s own revenues, Safe City initiatives, education and health sector improvements and the vision of Digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
