🎗 Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar – October 2025 🎗

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Government General Hospital Nishtarabad, Peshawar, funded by KP-HCIP Health Deaprtment through World Bank Fund, organized an awareness seminar with the gracious presence of the Project Director KP-HCIP as the Chief Guest.

🎗 چھاتی کے سرطان سے آگاہی سیمینار – اکتوبر 2025 🎗

چھاتی کے سرطان سے آگاہی کے مہینے کی مناسبت سے گورنمنٹ جنرل اسپتال نِشترآباد پشاور میں ایک آگاہی سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ یہ سیمینار کے پی-ایچ سی آئی پی ہیلتھ ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی جانب سے ورلڈ بینک کے تعاون سے منعقد کیا گیا، جس کے مہمانِ خصوصی پروجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر کے پی-ایچ سی آئی پی تھے۔

اس سیمینار کا مقصد خواتین اور کمیونٹی کو چھاتی کے سرطان کے بارے میں آگاہی فراہم کرنا اور ان کی صحت اور فلاح کے لیے بروقت اقدامات کی ترغیب دینا تھا۔

یہ بتاتے ہوئے خوشی محسوس ہو رہی ہے کہ گورنمنٹ جنرل اسپتال نِشترآباد میں خواتین کے لیے مفت میموگرافی سروسز فراہم کی جا رہی ہیں تاکہ چھاتی کے سرطان کی ابتدائی اسکریننگ اور بروقت تشخیص کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔

آئیں، آگاہی پھیلائیں اور چھاتی کے سرطان کے خلاف جدوجہد میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔ 💗

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team conducted a visit to RHC Sheikhjana, District Swabi. During the visit, it was observed that the health facility is providing a comprehensive range of essential health services to the community. The team noted that the quality of services being delivered was generally satisfactory and met the needs of the patients attending the facility. In addition, the staff at the RHC demonstrated a cooperative and professional attitude, which reflects positively on the overall functioning of the health center. The M&E team appreciated the efforts of the management and staff in ensuring the smooth provision of healthcare services to the population.

The KP-HCIP Monitoring & Evaluation team conducted a detailed visit to Government General Hospital, Nishtarabad, Peshawar, with a specific focus on the inspection of medicines and related systems. The purpose of the visit was to ensure that the hospital maintains high standards in the availability, storage, and utilization of medicines for the benefit of patients. During the inspection, the team observed the processes with great care and found that all aspects were being managed efficiently. The stock, storage conditions, and distribution mechanisms were satisfactory and aligned with the required standards. Overall, the visit concluded on a highly positive note, with the team expressing its satisfaction that the hospital is maintaining a commendable level of service for the community.

The M&E Team of KP-HCIP conducted a monitoring visit to Government General Hospital, Nishtarabad, Peshawar to review service delivery, infrastructure, record-keeping, staff performance, and digital health systems (EMRs & DHIS-2).
The hospital demonstrated strong performance, with 18,469 OPD patients and 200 deliveries recorded in August 2025, along with functional ANC, PNC, Family Planning, and immunization services. Record-keeping and DHIS-2 reporting were found excellent, while the medicine store was well-maintained with no expired stock. The hospital has an effective Healthcare Waste Management system, a functional Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM), and trained staff. Overall, the facility reflects a strong commitment to quality healthcare, digitalization, and accountability.

The Project Director of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP) Health Department, Dr. Muhammad Bilal Khan, along with his team, visited Government General Hospital Nishtarabad, Peshawar, to review progress and assess service delivery standards.

During the visit, a comprehensive progress review meeting was held where the facility’s overall performance was presented. Key areas of focus included cleanliness, staff availability, and quality of care across outpatient, inpatient, maternal & child health, immunization, ICU, laboratory, and psychological support services.

Following the meeting, Dr. Bilal Khan and the KP-HCIP team conducted a round of all hospital sections to observe progress on the ground and interact with staff.

The Project Director appreciated the hospital’s efforts and reiterated KP-HCIP’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services through regular monitoring, improved infrastructure, and enhanced patient care delivery.
