Workers Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues its commitment to supporting registered workers and their families. In a recent Provincial Welfare Committee meeting chaired by Secretary Sher Alam Khan, approval was granted for 153 Marriage & Death Grant cases worth Rs. 74.6 million, ensuring timely financial assistance and welfare support for deserving families across the province.

ورکرز ویلفیئر بورڈ خیبر پختونخوا کے زیر اہتمام صوبائی ویلفیئر کمیٹی کا ایک اجلاس گزشتہ روز منعقد ہوا، جس کی صدارت سیکرٹری ورکرز ویلفیئر بورڈ خیبر پختونخوا جناب شیر عالم خان نے کی۔ اجلاس کا مقصد مزدوروں اور ان کے اہل خانہ کے لیے میرج گرانٹ اور ڈیتھ گرانٹ کیسز کی منظوری اور ادائیگی کے معاملات کا جائزہ لینا تھا۔
اجلاس میں ڈائریکٹر فنانس جناب ابرار شاہ، ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر جی اے/ایچ آر جناب محمد شعیب، اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر اَدر ویلفیئر جناب شاہد خان سمیت معزز بورڈ ممبران نے شرکت کی۔
اجلاس کے دوران مجموعی طور پر 153 کیسز کی منظوری دی گئی جن کے تحت 7 کروڑ 46 لاکھ روپے کی مالی معاونت فراہم کی جائے گی۔ ان میں شامل ہیں:
• 139 میرج گرانٹ کیسز، جن کی مالیت 6 کروڑ 32 لاکھ روپے ہے
• 14 ڈیتھ گرانٹ کیسز، جن کی مالیت 1 کروڑ 14 لاکھ روپے ہے
ورکرز ویلفیئر بورڈ خیبر پختونخوا رجسٹرڈ مزدوروں اور ان کے اہل خانہ کو بروقت مالی معاونت اور فلاحی سہولیات فراہم کرنے کے اپنے عزم پر قائم ہے۔

The Rules Amendment Committee of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board convened its meeting on 6th May 2026 at 11:00 AM in the office of Deputy Director (GA/HR), chaired by Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, Deputy Director (GA/HR).

📋 Meeting Update | Principals of Vocational Institutes — KP Workers Welfare Board

A significant meeting of the Principals and Senior Instructors of all Vocational Institutes of **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board** was held on **4th May 2026** at the Main Office, Hayatabad Phase-V, Peshawar.

The meeting was chaired by **Mr. Arif Khan, Director Education KP WWB**, and attended by **Mr. Muhammad Abrar Shah, Director Finance KP WWB**, along with Principals and Senior Instructors from vocational institutes across the province. *(Note: Mr. Sher Alam Khan, Secretary KP Workers Welfare Board, was unable to attend due to official commitments.)*

🔑 Key Agenda & Outcomes:

✅ **Uniform Stitching Program** — Following the Board's landmark decision in its 107th & 108th meetings, all Vocational Institutes successfully stitched uniforms for **5,656+ girl students** of KP WWB schools across the province. A formal **distribution ceremony** is being planned to celebrate this milestone.

💰 Budget & Financial Adjustments — A total of **Rs. 4.5 Million** was allocated to 9 Vocational Institutes (Rs. 500,000 each) for the uniform stitching initiative. Adjustments for institutes that received both cash funds and stitched uniforms will be addressed in the 2026–27 session.

👩‍🎓Labour Charges for Trainees — Labour charges for trainees involved in stitching have been enhanced to **Rs. 400 per uniform**, with formal approval to be placed in the next Board meeting.

🏭 New Machinery— Institutes have been working on decades-old machines (last purchased in 2000). The Director Finance confirmed that **funds have been allocated in the Annual Budget** for new sewing machines, and a case will be initiated under PPRA rules for procurement.

🧵 Material Procurement — It was decided that material/cloth will be sourced directly from the concerned factory through proper **codal formalities**, ensuring full compliance and audit transparency

A successful event on energy efficiency and behavioural innovation highlighted the impact of the Green Nudges pilot project. The initiative has already achieved a 6.63 percent reduction in electricity consumption, benefiting worker communities.

Secretary Workers Welfare Board KP, Mr. Sher Alam Khan, appreciated the project and termed it an important step toward a sustainable future. Shields were also presented to officers in recognition of their contributions.

Event Highlights: Driving Sustainable Change at Workers Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

A significant milestone was achieved today at the Workers Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as we successfully concluded our latest project event focused on Catalysing Energy Efficiency through Behavioural Innovation. The ceremony celebrated the successful implementation of our Green Nudges pilot project, a scalable model designed for sustainable urban living within our housing societies.
