Fruitful Meeting Held Between Social Welfare and Social Work Department

A fruitful meeting was held today with Dr. Maliha, Head of the Department of Social Work, University of Sargodha, to discuss collaboration between the Social Welfare Department Sargodha and the Social Work Department.

Divisional Director and Deputy Director Social Welfare Sargodha, along with faculty members of the Social Work Department, University of Sargodha, participated in the meeting and various agendas related to mutual cooperation, student training, fieldwork and service delivery were discussed.

Himmat Card Distribution & Activation Ceremony Held for Special Students of District Sargodha 💚

In a joint initiative of the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department and Special Education Department, the first phase of Himmat Card distribution and activation was successfully conducted for eligible special students of District Sargodha.

The ceremony was attended by District Education Officer (Special Education), Mr. Zahid Iqbal, and representatives from Social Welfare Department including Divisional Director and Deputy Director Sargodha, Ms. Zeba Andleeb.

During the event, eligible students completed biometric verification, after which their Himmat Cards were activated on-site in collaboration with Bank of Punjab. This enables them to benefit from the Government of Punjab’s welfare initiative.

A fruitful meeting was held today with Dr. Najma, Head of the Department of Psychology, to discuss collaboration between the Social Welfare Department Sargodha and the Psychology Department for psychological assessment of residents of institutions under the jurisdiction of Social Welfare Sargodha.

Divisional Director and Deputy Director Social Welfare Sargodha, along with faculty members of the Psychology Department, participated in the meeting and various agendas related to mutual cooperation and service delivery were discussed.

Extra-curricular event named Fun Gala at Children Home Male, Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal, Sargodha
A joyful Fun Gala was organized at Children Home Male, Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal department district Sargodha. The event was graced by the Honourable Divisional Director, Madam Shakira Noreen, and Deputy Director, Madam Zeba Andleeb, whose presence encouraged and delighted the children.
The residents enthusiastically participated in exciting activities, including sack race, musical chairs, and many other fun games. The children also delivered an informative and engaging presentation on summer fruits, showcasing their confidence and learning.
At the end of the event, all children enjoyed ice cream, fresh fruits, and other refreshments. Their smiling faces and joyful laughter made the occasion truly memorable, reminding us that their happiness means the world to us.

The Divisional Director Social Welfare & bait ul maal sargodha division sargodha Ms. Shakira Noreen along with Deputy Director sargodha Ms. Zeba Andleeb, paid a special visit to the medical camp. The Medical Social Services Unit (MSSU), DHQ Teaching Hospital Sargodha, in collaboration with the Patient Welfare Society, organized this free medical camp in an underprivileged area of Fazal Town. The primary objective of the camp was to provide quality healthcare services and free medicines to deserving and financially disadvantaged individuals at their doorstep.
They met with the doctors, staff, and patients, reviewed the healthcare services being provided, and appreciated the excellent arrangements made by the Patient Welfare Society and the Assistant Director, Medical Social Services Unit (MSSU), Ms. Syeda Nadia Shah. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such welfare-oriented medical camps on a regular basis in the future.

At the camp, patients first underwent basic health screening, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight checks. Qualified doctors then conducted medical examinations, and free medicines were provided on-site. Separate male and female doctors were available to ensure the comfort and convenience of all patients, an arrangement that was highly appreciated by the participants. A large number of local residents benefited from the camp and described the initiative as extremely valuable and beneficial.

At the conclusion of the event, Assistant Director MSSU, Ms. Syeda Nadia Shah, along with the members of the Patient Welfare Society, expressed their sincere gratitude to Divisional Director Ms. Shakira Noreen and Deputy Director Ms. Zeba Andleeb for their encouragement, guidance, and continued support. They also pledged to continue organizing similar public welfare initiatives with the same dedication under their leadership.

The Deputy director social welfare & bait ul maal district khushab conducted the inspection visit to the various institutions & offices of social welfare & bait ul maal running in district khushab.
1. The meeting was held at campsite CD Khushab to review the progress of ongoing CM initiatives i.e. Himmat cards, ADWC, MKB, PDR and Minority cards as well as to review the status of audit reports, progress reports and renewal status of NGOs.
2. She Visited the district industrial home (Sanatzar) Khushab and review the Status of DPMIS, view the working of the production center and display center of sanatzar was also checked.
3. The detailed visit of shelter home Khushab by DD social welfare Khushab. Status of data on DPMIS, beautician, cleanliness of the institution and working as per SOPs were checked.
The deputy director khushab issued necessary directions to uplift the institutions and their official working for public wellbeing and to provide better public service delivery for general public.

The Divisional Director social welfare & bait ul maal Madam Shakira Noureen and Deputy Director Zaiba Andleeb attended the nutritional awareness and health screening camp at Children Home (Male & Female), Sargodha. The camp was organized by the Food Science and Nutrition Department students. This initiative taken up by the Food and Nutrition Institute, University of Sargodha, under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Shahid Mehmood (Associate Professor) and Dr. Awais Saleem (Lecturer). The Residents and staff underwent a comprehensive nutritional health assessment, including evaluation of the kitchen and nutrition menu. Each inmate boy and girl was examined thoroughly with their important body vitals i-e weight, height, and other body indicators recorded to assess overall health. The Participants received personalized counseling sessions as well with practical guidance for dietary improvement and healthy lifestyle practices. This collaborative effort with social welfare department has not only raised awareness about nutritional well-being but also provided actionable recommendations to enhance the daily meals, food quality, and overall health of the Children Home residents and staff.

The deputy director conduct the meeting with staff of institutions and issued necessary directions to uplift the institutions official working for public wellbeing.

In road to Empowering women, Some of the success stories of our institutions of district industrial homes (sanatzars) running in Sargodha division, These women were passed out from sanatzars after completing their skilled diploma and now running their own businesses. Hundred of girls learned the skills from sanatzars which are functioning in each district of punjab.
