Name disputes with Greece have kept Macedonia from joining the EU and NATO. But this year something is changing: a deal had been made between prime ministers from Macedonia and Greece. These changes have not yet been implemented, but (economic) relations are already profiting! The parliamentary session on constitutional changes regarding its name in Macedonia has begun yesterday.

As a prospective member of the European Union Macedonia is a very valuable partner state for us Young European Federalists. Before the recent referendum on the name change JEF Europe launched a europewide campaign to support our partner section in Skopje ( JEF Macedonia ). Macedonia might be a small country, but their JEF section is on fire and gives a great example for new, small sections like ourselves.

Badania z roku 2017 i 2018 twierdzą, że sytuacja prawna i społeczna osób LGBT+ w Europie uległa znacznej poprawie. Jednak nie w Polsce. Według ILGA rainbow map, która przedstawia sytuację ludzi LGBT+ w całej Europie, Polska wraz z Łotwą osiągnęła najgorsze wyniki na terenie UE.
N.p. kontrowersje wokół wczorejszego marszu równości w Lublinie pokazują, że ludzi LGBT są narażonymi na ciągły dyskryminacja.
My, jako JEF, walczą za równouprawniona Europa dla wszystkich.

Research from the years 2017 and 2018 shows that the legal and social situation of the LGBT+ community in many European countries has changed for the better in recent years. This is, however, not the case in Poland. According to the ILGA rainbow map which shows the situation of LGBT+ in all of Europe, Poland shows together with Latvia the worst results in the EU.
For example the controversies surrounding yesterday's March for Equality in Lublin show that members of the LGBT+ community in Poland still face constant discrimination.
We, as JEF, fight for an equal Europe for everyone.
